swan lake stage 1
Complete Walkthrough
The story begins with you, the main character, standing in the dark on a riverbank. It is unknown exactly where we are at this time, except that we came here through a hidden path. We quickly get back in our room, where the first character in the story awaits us. Its Roslin:
She addresses us with the title Princess and explains that it is almost past the curfew. We try to play it cool, but Ms. Roslin sees through the Princess’s attempts easily, since she is her guvernant. But, the Princess counterattacks after noticing Roslin is wearing some of her clothes:
The Princess says that the people might think the two are sisters and that Roslin doesn’t look her age at all in her clothes. Roslin admits defeat and changes the subject. She elaborates that, unlike the princess, she can’t play around all day. The point is, the princess should have returned earlier because the King might have asked for her.
The Princess reveals that she stayed with the Swans and got carried away. Roslin asks if it’s fun to play with the Swans and the Princess naturally confirms. In fact, she invites Roslin to come along next time. Roslin naturally declines, saying she doesn’t have time for those things.
Ms. Roslin notices that the Princess has dirtied her dress, which is where the plot thickens, of course. The Princess tries to excuse it by saying that it couldn’t be helped because she was in the forest, but to no avail. Ms. Roslin now has the upper hand and orders the princess to go get changed.
The princess tells Ms. Roslin that she expects her to cover up for her, tongue in cheek of course. Roslin tries to shake it off, but can’t help but smile. We now see that these two characters, Ms. Roslin and the Princess, have a much closer relationship than it was apparent at first. And, while Roslin is scorning her, she feels deeply for the Princess.
We will get the items recommended for this Swan Lake stage 1, which are Dawn Light hairdo and the Misty Morning Roses dress, both Grand and Perky.
Time to get changed. Now, as always, it is best to first tap on the search icon in the upper-left corner and chose the categories we need, so that all the items displayed have either of the ones we set. Tap on the search and then tap on Grand and Perky categories to filter out the clothes:
Now, go through the icons for different parts of the outfit on the left, and see which ones you have that best fit the categories asked for. Since we have gotten the Dawn Light hairdo and the Misty Morning Roses dress, we should definitely go for them.
The Dawn Light hairdo will be in the top slot of the hairdos, so tap it. Next, tap on the dress slot and pick the Misty Morning Roses dress, which will also be in the top slot.
Now, depending on which chapters or stories you played before, everyone’s wardrobe will be different but do as best you can. Always check the value for the selected category in an outfit item. Sometimes, one item can have one category with a higher value than another has with two combines, even though it has both that fit our filter search, so be mindful of that.
For this particular outfit, we’ve added the Pure Masque for the eyes, which adds to Grand, and we’ve picked out the Chapel Steps shoes, which have the highest stats and, even though they only have one stat that suits us, they have Grand 560 value, which is the best choice we have in our wardrobe.
As far as accessories go, we have the Trendy Rococo collar with 6 stars, which is by far the highest value stat item for this slot. It only benefits to Grand for this opportunity, but it gives 606 which is quite a lot, so we use it.
It is an item from the Queen Marrie storyline, which is given as a gift from Madame Pompadour. It is obviously in the Rococo style, which is obvious from the name of the item, but Madame Pompadour is a real historical figure, which is often considered the “mother of Rococo” fashion style.
For the earrings, we use the Precious Treasure, which we have at 4 stars and it has the Grand 303 value stat.
As far as gloves go, we possess the Swan’s Touch set, but only at 3 stars currently. Interestingly enough, even though it has the word Swan in its name, the item is actually also from the Queen Marie storyline and it belongs to the Rococo fashion style trend. However, we will make good use of it, as it has 202 Grand stat.
The only ring we currently possess is the Prayer of Love but at a strong 5-star position. It has the Grand stat valued at 388, which is incredibly high for an accessory, especially for a ring. We will use it. However, if you have any other that has either Grand or Perky, use whichever gives you the highest of both or either one of these stats in total.
And, to top it all off, for the bag slot we will use the Bridal Bouquet item, which is widely available to all people that played the first Queen Marie story at least through chapter I. We have it at a nice 4-star level, and it has the Grand stat at 378 value.
Also, as far as your pet cats go, don’t forget to add anyone that has either Grand or Perky stat, at the highest possible value. We will add our default pet that we renamed for our purposes. It has the Grand 125 stat.
Our finished outfit looks somewhat like this:
Now, let’s tap Ready and see how we did. IF you have a good relic, don’t forget to include one. We will include the Dream Fantasia relic, because it adds 2.4% currently on every item in our current outfit with the Gentle stat, increasing the base score by that value.
We tap Ready and the result is a perfect match, with 3435 in total value from our whole outfit. Anything you have to get you over 3000 will yield the Perfect score, which is important to reap all of the stage rewards. But, no fuss if you don’t get it at first, as you can replay it later on when you get more items.
The story continues after the Princess has changed her dirty clothes from the forest and also made her bed. The day is lovely and the Princess feels good. At this point, it is revealed that Ms. Roslin is in fact Princese’s tutor and has been with her for 10 years now. She is strict, but she does love the princess and she knows it.
In fact, she is somewhat of a mother figure, as the Princess’s mother passed away when she was young. The Princess often asks her to watch over her until she is asleep. This time, Ms. Roslin makes a point that the Princess is soon coming of age and that it is childish to ask for such things anymore…
The Princess makes a fair point, saying that she will be the same person after the coming-of-age ceremony, which is implied to be coming soon. Ms. Roslin says that she also wishes she could stay the same and calls the Princes Signy. This is the first time we hear the Princess’s name.
The Princess, Signy, now notices that Ms. Roslin is worried. She asks what’s bothering her. Ms. Roslin reminds Signy that the coming-of-age ceremony is soon and, more importantly, that means more responsibilities are coming her way. Her carefree days are numbered…
Princess Signy says that she understands and reveals to us that that coming-of-age ceremony is in six months, so there is still time to have fun and be carefree a little bit. Signy is further reassured by saying that even if she becomes the Queen, she has nothing to fear with Ms. Roslin at her side. However, she still says she wants her father to rule for as long as he wants. Ms. Roslin remains silent and sighs at all this.
Now, we get some dire news from her.
It is now revealed that Signy’s father, although of good health, is getting older quickly and will need to name his heir soon. The only choice is our protagonist, Princess Signy.
However, this is also the reason why Signy’s coming-of-age ceremony is being pushed forward, meaning it is hastened so it comes quicker than it would usually do.
Also, Ms. Roslin reveals the “delightful” eventuality of finding a suitable spouse for Signy, to which she is baffled and surprised, to say the least…
Signy naturally declines wholeheartedly, saying she will never get engaged! Ms. Roslin explains that every successor to the throne has to do this. That marriage, even though only figurative, is necessary, as well as other preparations and training the princess needs to go through before she can rule her kingdom.
Signy is now slowly changing her emotions. She was feisty and disproving of engagement, but now she is slowly getting scared from the eventualities that she slowly begins to realize await her. She is slowly beginning to understand the inevitability of these things…
She then switches to the denial phase and starts denying everything again, this time with a far more dire tone. Signy emphasizes that she doesn’t want to become the queen yet. Her reaction is best described by what Ms. Roslin does, which is hug her and talks her down like she has done so many times when Signy was a child…
However, through all this, Signy is beginning to realize her childish ways and to admit even to herself that their time is soon up. Ms. Roslin admits that she still thinks of her as a child, her own probably and that she will still be there to protect her. However, the facts are as follows:
Signy admits that she doesn’t want it, any of it. She thinks that she knows nothing of these matters like marriage or kingdom governing. She then gives a decent argument as to why she feels further appalled by being a queen. She has seen the piles of documents on the King’s desk and knows her father is constantly on political meetings, day and night.
While Signy calls it all a nightmare, Ms. Roslin still reminds her it is her duty. She explains that the kingdom has served her from the moment she was born and that she will have to give back to the kingdom and the people. All the luxury, and status, and everything she enjoyed, is allowed to the people.
The princess is speechless and here is where we get to make our first choice in this Swan Lake story. Naturally, we have chosen to refuse, just to go along with how the character of Signy seems to us so far. The choice won’t affect any of the gameplay later on in Dress Up! Time Princess, so choose whichever you like.
The princess feels controlled and trapped, and rightfully so. She didn’t choose to be born royalty. She didn’t ask for the luxuries with which she grew up with. She wants freedom as all people do. Here we understand, once again, how burdening and confining the life of a ruler can be, despite the luxuries, the one we all have is missing – freedom.
Signy says that, if she is a princess she can choose her own destiny. Ms. Roslin explains that nobody is forcing her, but the kingdom must have an heir. Signy says that it doesn’t have to be someone in the King’s bloodline, with hope in her words. She enhances her argument by saying it should be someone competent. But, her hope is crushed by the sound of truth from Roslin’s mouth…
Just at their highest drama together, there is a knock on the door…
The guard is here to relay a message from the King. He wishes to see the princess tomorrow, after breakfast. The message says he wishes to discuss something very important, which is definitely something Signy doesn’t want to hear right now, or ever! Since the invitation indicates Signy is to come to the King’s study, it means it is of political nature.
Roslin ads salt to the wound by statin the obvious – it may very well be about the succession to the throne. Signy is falling into depression, knowing these may very well be her last days of a carefree life. This is the end of stage 1, chapter 1 of Swan Lake in Dress up! Time Princess game. If your outfit score was above 3000 i.e. perfect, the rewards are as follows:
