You will quickly learn that your mom Alison is a fashion supervisor, and she is very busy with her work, which is why she couldn’t join you. Not long after unpacking your stuff, you will stumble upon a dusty old lectern and a book. Upon opening a book, a small fairy named Isabel will fly out of it and tell you that she’s a friend of your mother. Shortly after, you will be drawn into a world of magic where you’ll get the opportunity to experience some breathtaking adventures. Isobel will inform you that by opening the book, you’ve sealed off the room from the outside world, and the only way to go back is by completing the story.

There are several different stories you can experience. The first available story is Queen Marie, which will put you in the role of Queen Marie Antoinette of France shortly before the French Revolution. You will get to meet some interesting historical characters, such as King Louis XVI, Marquis de Lafayette, Count Axel von Fersen, and many others. Your goal will be to avoid the cruel fate that befell Marie Antoinette and to change the people’s opinion on her. 

There are many other storybooks available in the game. Each story is divided into chapters, and each chapter has a number of stages. By completing stages, you can earn Reader’s Coupons. These Coupons are used to unlock other stories. In the Magic Lamp story, you will find yourself in the role of a young woman who discovered a magic lamp and is tasked with finding a lost gem. On her adventure to retrieve the gem, she will be joined by the genie and the prince. Swan Lake’s story is a retelling of a popular fairy tale, but this time, the genders are switched. You will take the role of a brave princess and your goal will be to break the curse and save the swan prince. In Gotham Memoirs, you will play as a reporter, in a world filled with mysteries, crime, and conspiracies. 

Each of these stories is well written, and by playing, you will really feel as if you’re experiencing it yourself. Also, you will often get to make various choices, and these choices will in some cases drastically change the story and the ending you can achieve. This gives the game a very high replay value. You can always revisit the stages you’ve completed previously and make a different choice in order to change the story. This immensely boosts the overall atmosphere of the game, and the developers did a great job by including many different choices and endings for each story.

When it comes to music and sound, the developers did a pretty good job. The music fits the atmosphere pretty well and the overall tones are very appropriate for the settings. For example, while playing Queen Marie Chapters, you will hear a lot of tracks that are inspired by classical music, and they greatly complement the entire atmosphere. All in all, the music is definitely one of the better aspects of the game, and will more than likely make your gaming experience very enjoyable.

In its very essence, Dress up! Time Princess is a story-driven, role-playing dress-up game. The game’s story is separated into several storybooks, each containing a number of chapters. Each of these chapters has numerous stages, and completing each stage will progress the story. The majority of the stages will require you to dress up for the occasion. When it comes to clothes and accessories you can wear, they all come with a dozen different tags. Each clothing piece has two tags, and most of the stages will require you to dress up in the clothing of appropriate tags. Every piece of clothing and accessories has its rank, which can range from one to six stars. The higher the rank, the more points it rewards upon wearing it. While it is possible to dress up in clothes that aren’t matching the tags required by the stage, doing so would reward you with fewer points. These points are required to earn a better rank upon completing a stage. There are Good, Great, and Perfect ranks for each of the stages. Completing a stage with a higher rank will yield better rewards. Also, if you manage to complete a stage with the Perfect rank, you will earn some Reader’s Coupons which are essential in unlocking more storybooks.  Because of this, it is important to have plenty of different outfits with various tags. This will allow you to complete most of the stages with the Perfect score and earn better rewards. 

The story of Dress up! Time Princess is full of choices. Each of the stages will offer you up to several different choices, and in many cases, these will have a significant impact on the outcome of the story. Thankfully, you can replay the stages you’ve previously completed if you want to make different choices and progress the story in another direction. This gives the game very high replay value, and the completionists will be able to go through every single choice in the game in order to unlock achievements. Yes, there is an achievement system in the game, and it grants you some extra rewards upon fulfilling certain tasks. 

There are several different resources in Dress up! Time Princess. The two main resources are Coins and Diamonds. These can be used to obtain other resources, clothing, or certain perks and benefits. Another important resource in the game is energy. You use it to play the stages, make different choices, and for encounters. Energy slowly replenishes over time, and there are plenty of ways to obtain it. You can gain energy from your friends, from various events, or as a reward for completing certain tasks. You can also use Gems to purchase energy. Spending energy will grant you experience, which will increase your character level. 

As for the clothing and accessories, there are many different ways to obtain them. You can get them by completing stages or during encounters, as rewards from the events, tasks, and activities, or by crafting them. In order to craft clothes, you need to obtain the blueprints and the required materials. Blueprints can be acquired as rewards from various activities, events, or purchased in the shop. As for the materials, you can obtain them from encounters, the shop, and many other activities within the game. Now for the most interesting thing about Dress up! Time Princess – graphics and visuals. The graphics of this game can easily be summed up in one word – gorgeous. Each model is wonderfully designed with a plethora of small details. Each of the outfits and accessories has a unique model that is incredibly detailed and well designed in accordance with the time period of the story you obtained it from. Also, the outfits and accessories match their tags very well. For example, if you obtain some dress that has a Grand tag, you will notice it looks fitting for some grand occasion like the ball.

Most of the main characters have very detailed 3D models that are gorgeous to look at. However, the majority of the side characters don’t have the 3D models, and that is one of the major downsides of the graphics. Other than that, while some of the backgrounds look pretty and full of details, others look rather simple and bland, which is a shame. 

As for the main character, you have plenty of options to customize your protagonist. You can choose various options for eyes, nose, face, hair, lips, and etc. This gives you the freedom to tailor a character to your liking and immerse yourself in these magical stories even more.

For Android users, the minimum requirements involve having an Android 5.0 compatible device, which is fairly low by today’s standards. If you plan on playing the game on iOS, you will need at least iOS 10.1 or later compatible device, which isn’t too high of a requirement. The game runs fairly smoothly on most modern devices, and there are options to tone down the graphics to improve performance. This does come at the cost of reduced visual quality, and the visuals are probably the best thing about Dress up! Time Princess. Undoubtedly, the developers had to do this to make the game accessible for a wide variety of mobile devices.

This is one of the most important aspects of every modern mobile game. How difficult is the game for Free to Play audience? Is it possible to progress through the story without paying? Can you be competitive in the PvP aspect of the game as a F2P player? Well, to answer all of those questions, it kind of depends. If you are looking to casually play the game during your daily break, then you should have no problems as a F2P player. However, if you want to rush through the story, you will very quickly find yourself in an awkward situation. As mentioned before, for each of the stages, you need clothes with certain tags, especially if you want to complete them with a perfect score and earn those precious Reader’s Coupons used for unlocking additional storybooks. One way to obtain clothes is by crafting them. Unfortunately, each of the clothes you craft requires an excessive amount of materials, and in some cases, it might take you days to collect them from the encounters and other in-game activities. 

Another easy way to obtain clothes and accessories is via the in-game shop. This is a much easier, albeit more expensive way to progress through the story. Other than the outfits, the game will offer you various deals for some in-game benefits, which are pretty lucrative, so if you are a “light” spender, you should find some of those offers pretty generous. 

When it comes to the PvP aspect of the game, it is possible to reach a high ranking as a Free to Play player, but it isn’t easy. You will need a lot of luck with clothes and tags every week. Still, reaching the Fantasy Fair Master tier and unlocking some of the best rewards is not too difficult, even for F2P players, but getting to some of the top leaderboard ranks is nigh impossible. 

In all honesty, Dress up! Time Princess isn’t the best game when it comes to monetization, but it certainly is far from the worst. Free to Play players will definitely be able to enjoy everything it has to offer but will have to take their time completing the story and unlocking extra storybooks.
