Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Queen Marie Chapter 1 Stage 5 of Dress up Time Princess. Last time, you attended to welcoming banquet for the war heroes returning from America. During it, you met Count Axel von Fersen again after being separated for so long. After getting the chance to talk to him for a while, he asked you to dance with him. However, he wasn’t the only man daring enough to ask you for a dance. Marquis de Lafayette did the same, and you were faced with a rather difficult decision. After making up your mind, you spent the rest of the night dancing and enjoying the company of one of these dashing gentlemen. Now is the time to continue where you left off. The stage screen will display the short description, rewards, as well as the requirements.
Your day will start with Gabrielle waking you up. You will instantly notice her worried face. She will say that the King wants to see you. Apparently, it has something to do with a certain necklace. Could it be the same necklace that Bohmer wanted to sell to you? Did something bad happen? Countless questions will swarm your mind, but you won’t be able to find any answers. Once again, you will notice how worried your dear friend is.
However, you refused to buy the necklace, so there shouldn’t be any problem. Still, you will decide not to let the King wait and you’ll quickly open your wardrobe.
For this occasion, you should pick the clothes and accessories with Grand and Elegant tags. Simply use the Search option to make things easier.
Gabrielle will praise your looks once you’re done dressing up, and soon enough, you will head to the King’s study. Upon arriving, you will notice that the King, Madame Adelaide, and Lafayette are already there, waiting for you. Their gazes will send a cold shiver down your spine, and you will realize that something terrible must’ve happened.
You will ask the King to tell you the reason why he sent for you. Louis XVI will say that he heard rumors about you purchasing an extremely expensive item. You’ll notice hesitation in his voice, and he’ll seem as if he’s unsure what to say. Suddenly, Madame Adelaide will speak and mention the details about the diamond necklace Bohmer was offering to sell you earlier.
You’ll quickly say you refused to buy the necklace, but according to Madame Adelaide, Bohmer said that you did. Lafayette will also add that the people are spreading rumors about your lavish lifestyle.
He’ll say that the rumors are spreading like a wildfire, and they want to hear your version of the story before deciding what to do. Suffice to say, this could have disastrous consequences for the royal reputation. You’ll quickly tell everyone that you didn’t buy the necklace. In fact, you’ll even swear by your mother on it.
Everyone will stare silently at you for a while before one person decides to speak up. If you danced with Lafayette at the banquet and didn’t get angry at him, he’ll be the first one to say he believes you. Otherwise, Gabrielle will be the one to defend you. This will also grant you some Goodwill with the person defending you.
On the other hand, Madame Adelaide will not believe you, regardless of who decided to speak up for you. After all, she’s been a thorn in your side ever since you moved to France and married Louis XVI.
Once again, you will be defended by either Lafayette or Gabrielle, and after a short while, you will decide to say something. This choice will have SEVERE consequences on the entire story. If you want the people of France to change their opinion about you, it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to Maintain Innocence and Offer a Donation. This choice won’t take effect until much later in the story, but will heavily influence its outcome.
You will then say you are deeply ashamed of the things you’ve done before, and you want to change yourself for the better. You’ll admit to them that you were drawn by the beauty of the necklace, but you realized that buying it could have horrible consequences, so ultimately, you didn’t do it.
After a short while, Louis XVI will say he believes you. He’ll apologize for accusing you without proof, and you’ll gain some Goodwill with him. He’ll also be very glad to see you behaving responsibly and becoming more queenly.

Your husband will also assure you he’ll find a way to stop the rumors and clear your name. Madame Adelaide will suggest speaking with the merchant and finding out if he was the one who started the rumors. In any case, Louis XVI will ask Lafayette to handle the investigation.
He’ll then tell Madame Adelaide to give you some privacy. She’ll smirk at you before nodding and leaving the study. If you decided to pick the first option earlier on, you will offer to donate your jewelry to replenish the military funds, or to help the poor.
Everyone will stare at you in disbelief after hearing that. After a moment of silence, the King will ask Lafayette for an opinion. The stern Marquis will approve of your decision, and he’ll state that he has nothing but the deepest respect for your willingness to change. You will also say a few words.
Louis XVI will say that you can use the money to help the people or purchase a ship for the navy. This decision will also have a heavy impact on the story. Once again, if you want the people to change their opinion about you, it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to choose “Help the People” option.
Selecting this option will make you realize that there are plenty of people who are living in absolute poverty, and you’ll want to try your best to help them out. The King will be very proud of your decision, and he’ll agree to use the funds to help the poor.
Shortly after, you will return to your room, accompanied by Gabrielle. You will recall seeing a painting depicting Marie Antoinette being taken to her execution. Hopefully, there is a way to avoid that fate. In any case, you will decide to confront Bohmer and find out the truth about the necklace.
This will mark the end of Queen Marie Chapter 1-5 of Dress up Time Princess. You’ll receive the rewards for completing the stage.
