Queen Marie Chapter 2 Stage 2
Complete Walkthrough
Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Queen Marie Chapter 2 Stage 2 of Dress up Time Princess. Last time, you learned that France’s financial situation is pretty dire. You attended the meeting with the King and the ministers where you discussed how to solve this crisis. Needless to say, there was no perfect solution to this problem. In the end, after lengthy discussion, you decided it was probably for the best to introduce the tax reform that would save France from the financial crisis. This tax reform would aim to have nobles pay taxes just as the commoners do. Still, it won’t be easy to persuade them to agree to it. In any case, now is the time to meet with the aristocrats and convince them that the tax reform is the best way to solve France’s financial problems. The stage window will display the requirements, rewards, and short description. Hit Start when you are ready to begin.
Gabrielle will arrive to inform you about the situation with her family. She will look at you with sad eyes and say that her family isn’t as wealthy as the other noble families. Her husband said that the tax reform would be a too heavy burden for them to bear. You will look at her sad face and say that you completely understand her.
After looking at you for a while, Gabrielle will admit she had a huge fight with her husband. She will feel guilt for not being able to help you. You’ll be shocked to hear this. By the looks of it, Gabrielle was very persistent and even threatened him to leave with the children should he not agree to the tax reform.
Thankfully, she managed to persuade her husband, and she will happily smile at you, saying she’s finally able to be of help to you. Her honest smile will warm your heart, and you will truly feel happy and blissful at that very moment.
You will thank her for being such a loyal and supportive friend. Unfortunately, there are plenty of other nobles to convince, so your moment of happiness will be short-lived. Soon enough, you will decide to visit some of the nobles and try your best to persuade them to support the tax reform.
Gabrielle will immediately offer to accompany you. You’ll notice a lot of determination and resolve in her voice, and after considering for a while, you will agree to let her come with you.
The two of you will go and visit many noble families, and explain the new tax reform, asking for their support. Some of the nobles will offer their support, while others won’t make any promises. No one will openly refuse to support the tax reform, but not too many will promise their support.
After several days of visits, the day of the conference will finally arrive. You will decide to prepare and dress accordingly. For this occasion, you should pick the clothes and accessories with Formal and Gentle tags.
You will sit on your throne next to the King as you patiently wait for all of the nobles to arrive. You will notice a lot of them look troubled and shocked, but you will smile politely back at them regardless. Also, the King will be under a lot of tension, which will be apparent just by looking at him. Needless to say, this conference is extremely important to him, and the fate of the whole of France might depend on it. You will say some much-needed words of encouragement to boost the King’s confidence.
Still, the stress and worries won’t just disappear from him. He’ll open up and tell you he feels responsible for the current situation since he was the one who decided to fund the American War.
Louis XVI will also feel that he had wronged you by having you face the nobles together with him. You will calmly say you are the Queen of France and it is your responsibility to support him with this matter. He’ll thank you for being so supportive. You’ll finally notice the King smiling at you, and you will feel a lot of warmth in his gaze. Moments later, he will turn towards Blaisdell and the conference will start.
Blaisdell will start explaining everything about the reform in great detail. As soon as he is done, you will hear a lot of the aristocrats objecting. The Duke of Villars and Count Mondego will be the first ones to openly oppose the tax reform. They’ll go as far as to blame you for the financial crisis.
You will realize that the nobles are trying to blame you for everything, just so they could avoid paying taxes. Suddenly, Marquis de Lafayette will silence everyone, and Count Fersen will speak up. He will point out you are doing all in your power to solve this crisis, unlike the nobles, who are only quick to point fingers at others.
Count Mondego won’t be swayed by Fersen’s words and he won’t hide his enmity towards you. Lafayette will tell him to watch his words before you finally decide to speak up.
You’ll muster all your courage and start addressing everyone in the room. You’ll tell them you want to do what’s best for France. You will also say you know your past actions haven’t been very appropriate for a queen, but you’ve changed and want to do all in your power to solve the financial crisis. You’ll point out it’s the people of France that matters the most, and they deserve better.
You will go on to explain how important people are to the kingdom. No kingdom can exist without the support of its people. You will sternly say you won’t let anyone’s actions ruin France. There will be a lot of different reactions in the room. You’ll notice some of the people are nodding their heads, while others are glaring at you furiously.
You will explain that the only way out of this crisis is through the tax reforms. It will be costly, but to show your determination, you’ll be the first one to contribute. After all, if someone like you can change for the sake of France, so can every other noble.
The room will be filled with silence for a while until the King speaks up. He’ll say he completely agrees with everything you said and all of the words you said represent the will of the royal family. He’ll then start to clap, and soon after, Fersen and the others will join in. You will feel a lot of admiration and respect coming from them.
Lafayette will also agree with everything you’ve said, and point out the importance of the tax reform. He will gaze at you before bowing respectfully. He’ll say he is willing to follow your example and pay taxes from now on.
Fersen will also announce he’s going to follow in your footsteps. Soon enough, some of the noble families will openly express their support for the tax reform. After a while, most of them will agree to it. You will express your gratitude to each and every one of them.

Still, you will notice that some of the families who promised you their support earlier are sitting silent. Duke Polignac will be one of them. This will surprise you, especially since Gabrielle told you he agreed to support the tax reform.
There will be some others who will be against the reform. Count Mondego will be the first one to express his dissatisfaction. Both he and the Duke of Villars will quickly assume you want to collect tax from the nobles out of selfishness and greed.
Blaisdell will smirk at him and calmly say that the royal family would never do something like that. He’ll add that if the reform fails to see the light of day, and the civilians find out that those nobles are responsible for the tax increase, who knows what they might think.
Count Mondego will see this as a direct threat. Fersen will politely say it was just an earnest warning. He’ll turn to Lafayette and ask if his war comrade thinks it was a threat. Lafayette will calmly say that Count Mondego simply misunderstood Blaisdell’s words.
All those nobles that were opposing the reform will sit silently for a while, unable to come with a proper reply. After a brief moment of silence, Count Mondego will ask the King to give them a few days before making their decision. Most of the opposing nobles will nod their heads at Count Mondego.
The King will look at Lafayette for a moment before replying. He will allow everyone a bit more time to consider everything. Soon after, he will dismiss the conference.
While looking at the nobles leaving the room, you will close your eyes and pray that everything will get better. This will mark the end of Queen Marie Chapter 2 Stage 2 of Dress up Time Princess.
What will happen next? Will all of the noble families agree to the tax reform? Find out in the next stage.
