Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Queen Marie Chapter 2 Stage 12 of Dress up Time Princess. Last time, you learned that some people were promoting the constitutional monarchy in the streets, and the situation hasn’t really improved much. You had a discussion with the King about it, and he was quite hesitant to give up the power. Eventually, he agreed to think about it at least. Later on, you decided to go out and see how bad the situation is. The King asked d’Eon to escort you and ensure that no harm comes your way. Upon arriving at the small alley near the Bastille, you noticed a crowd of people plotting to rebel against the royal family. You quickly decided to head back to the palace and inform the King about everything you heard. Just before you had the chance to do that, you learned that civilians have charged into the Bastille. Now is the time to meet with the King and make some important decisions. The stage window will display the requirements, a short description, and the rewards. Hit Start when you are ready to begin.
Upon hearing the news, Madame Deniau will freeze for a moment. You will notice a worried look on her face. You will try to calm her down and say that you’ll do your best for the sake of France.
You’ll then decide to get changed before going to see the King. This time, you should wear clothes and accessories with Elegant and Gentle tags.
Upon arriving at the King’s study, you will see that Madame Adelaide and Marquis de Lafayette are arguing. Apparently, Lafayette proposed the idea of constitutional monarchy to the King, and his aunt isn’t too happy about it.
You will notice that Lafayette is extremely tense, and is doing his best to suppress the rage that is boiling within him. As for the King, he will look very worried, as if he’s deeply in thoughts about something. He won’t seem to pay much attention to their arguing.
Lafayette will warn them that going against the opinions of the people may have a tragic outcome. He will also say that having a constitutional monarchy won’t be the end of the royal court.
He’ll tell Madame Adelaide that she’ll still have her status, so she shouldn’t worry about that. She will get deeply offended by hearing this, and she’ll ask the King to say something.
The King will finally speak up and ask them to calm down. Both of them will stop arguing momentarily. He’ll then continue and say that you’ve already suggested the idea to him. Madame Adelaide will be quick to comment on that.
You will calmly explain that aligning with the will of the people would be the right thing to do. Going against them could potentially have disastrous consequences. Unfortunately, Madame Adelaide won’t agree with you. She will even try to persuade the King to take her side.
Louis XVI will calmly say that he hasn’t made a final decision yet, and he’ll ask his aunt not to worry. You will speak up and say that he’ll have to decide very soon since it’s already too late to stop the people.
The King will be shocked to hear that. You’ll inform him about your trip and tell him everything you’ve heard. Everyone in the room will look terrified upon hearing the news.
You’ll try to explain that giving up power voluntarily might be the only way to prevent unnecessary violence. That way, the people would get what they want, and no harm would come to the royal family.
Once again, Madame Adelaide will go against you. She will even go as far as to mention Queen Theresa. Needless to say, this will definitely strike a nerve. Lafayette will quickly try to calm everyone down.
As for the King, he will scold his aunt for mentioning Queen Theresa. He’ll then say that he’ll do his best to find a peaceful solution that would benefit everyone. He’ll decide to summon all the ministers and discuss the matter.
Madame Adelaide will try to say a few more words, but the King will decide to end any further discussion. Lafayette will quickly go to do what’s necessary to arrange a conference.
Not long after that, Gabrielle will arrive to see you. She’ll say there is something very important she needs to tell you. You will notice that her gentle face looks extremely worried. She will look away and ask if you know that many of the nobles decided to leave Versailles.
You’ll tell her you’ve heard about it, and you understand their reasons. You will ask Gabrielle if she is also planning to leave. She will quietly say that her family will soon leave for Switzerland.
And by the looks of it, they plan to leave in less than a day. You’ll be shocked to hear that, and Gabrielle will apologize for not telling you sooner. Apparently, Duke Polignac asked her to keep quiet about it.
You will smile at your dear friend and say you’re happy knowing that she’ll be safe. Gabrielle will suddenly burst into tears, and she will hug you as tight as she possibly can. You will feel how much it hurts her to leave your side.
After a moment of hesitation, she will ask if you are willing to go with her. You’ll be surprised to hear that, and for a moment, you’ll be lost for words. You will then get to decide how to react. This decision will have a heavy impact on the story.
If you choose to gently refuse Gabrielle’s offer, you will think for a bit and realize that you cannot simply abandon everyone you care about. You will gain some Goodwill with Louis XVI by choosing this option, but you will also lose some Goodwill with Gabrielle.
You will apologize to her for choosing to stay. She will say she understands the situation you’re in, and she won’t hold it against you. She’ll say that you’ve changed a lot, but despite everything, she’ll always like you.
She will hold your hands and say many nice things about you. You will reply by telling her she is one of the kindest people you’ve ever met, and you’ll gently smile at her. Once again, Gabrielle will start crying and say how much she wants to stay by your side.
You’ll remind her that staying will only put her in danger, and you will reassure her that you’ll see her again. You’ll also say that both of you can write letters to each other and stay friends.
You will spend the whole night talking, and upon dawn, you will reluctantly part ways. You’ll watch her leaving through the window and silently pray for her as she walks away.
If you hesitate to answer, you will think for a while about what might happen should you stay in France. Gabrielle will figure out what you’re thinking about, and she will point out that you are the Queen of France, and unlike her, you have certain responsibilities. Picking this choice will gain you some Goodwill with her.
However, she will say that you’ve already done all in your power to help the people, and they don’t seem to appreciate it. She’ll say that the people of France don’t deserve a kind and caring queen like you. In the end, they all blame you for all the bad things that have happened.
While she does have a point, you will tell her that you cannot simply leave all the problems to the King, Lafayette, and the others. You’ll also remember that Marie has two children in France, and you cannot just abandon them.
After thinking for a moment, Gabrielle will ask you to bring them along. However, if you do that, she might get in trouble if you are discovered. Still, she’ll say it’s a risk she is willing to take to get you to safety.
Gabrielle will notice that you’re unsure what to do, and she’ll try to convince you once again. She will say that Lafayette is still loved by the people, and if you leave, they will probably put less pressure on him and Blaisdell.
Also, with the royal family gone, the people will be able to create the government they want. You will see a lot of sense in her words and realize that staying in France might be the end of the royal family, so the only other option is to leave.
Still, you will be curious if Gabrielle’s family would agree to this. Apparently, she won’t care if they disapprove. She has already planned everything, and she’ll suggest leaving at night.
Gabrielle will advise you to disguise yourself since everyone in Versailles is panicking, so nobody would pay any attention to you if they can’t recognize you. You’ll notice that she is extremely worried about you. After thinking for a while, you will agree with her proposition.
You will notice her sigh in relief as if a heavy burden has just been lifted off her chest. She will smile at you, and at that very moment, you’ll feel how much she cares for you.
She will say that you shouldn’t blame yourself for what happened. After all, you did everything in your power to help the people of France, but sometimes, no matter what you do, it won’t be enough. You’ll thank Gabrielle for her kindness, and hurry up to prepare for leaving.
It will take you a while to persuade the King to agree to Gabrielle’s proposition, but eventually, he will agree to it. You will quickly gather all the necessary things and leave Versailles during the night. You will leave all of the luxuries behind and set off to a new future.

Thankfully, you will manage to leave France without much trouble, and you will settle down in a small village in Switzerland. One day, you will notice Gabrielle coming back from the market. You will ask her if the business was all right.
You’ll notice a hint of worry on her face. She will hold her basket and look at you hopelessly as if she’s done something wrong. You will assume that she didn’t manage to sell the pastries and will try your best to comfort her.
You’ll point out that you still have some savings and some jewelry you could sell off for cash. You will gently pat her shoulder to show her that everything is fine, but suddenly, she will smirk at you and say that she sold everything.
Gabrielle will say that the recipe you gave her was amazing, and you even improved on it, so she easily managed to sell everything. You’ll be relieved to hear that. After all, you gave her some marketing suggestions to make the pastries sell easier.
She will also say that the bakery owner talked to her. Apparently, he wants to team up with you long term, which would allow you to have a reliable income. You will be very happy to hear that.
Despite all the hardships, fortune has finally smiled upon you. While you don’t live the life of luxury you enjoyed before, you are able to live a decent life and enjoy some of the simple things.
Gabrielle will ask if Auguste and the children are doing all right. You’ll tell her that he is very eager to work, and is extremely happy to be able to use his skills to provide for you and the children.
After all of the hardships you went through, you can finally get to rest from all the responsibilities and troubles. While you weren’t able to prevent the French Revolution from happening, at least you managed to avoid meeting the same fate as Marie Antoinette.
You will point out it’s getting late, and you will suggest taking the children into the house and preparing dinner. Gabrielle will nod, and both of you will head towards the hill slope behind the village where you’ll notice a lot of children playing on the grass.
As soon as the kids see you, they will happily run towards you, and you’ll walk home together. You will tell them that Gabrielle is planning to prepare a feast. One child will be extremely excited about it.
Gabrielle will say that she can cook anything they feel like eating. The child will start talking about his favorite food, and he will look very happy about it.
His cheerful laughter will warm your heart, and you will feel truly blessed. Despite not living like a queen anymore, you will at least get to live happily surrounded by the ones who care about you and love you.
This will lead to one of the endings. You will receive the achievement for obtaining this ending.
