It seems that Harry Potter fans can’t catch a break with so many exciting things coming their way. And Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is definitely on that list especially after the cool teaser released yesterday.
Just like in Pokémon GO, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite will be a location-based augmented reality game for Android and iOS. In the game, players will be able to pair up gameplay with real-world locations which sounds downright amazing. I mean, casting spells and interacting with famous characters from the Potterverse are practically the dream come true for HP fans, so this game will make it all possible and exciting. And the new video promises just that.
In a teaser, we see a number of Nimbus 2000 brooms flying around in the Muggle world without their riders. This will require joint forces from all witches and wizards out there to contain before Muggles start noticing something very strange is going on.
Harry Potter: Wizards Unite will also feature creatures from the original book series and the newest movie franchise Fantastic Beasts. The game is developed by WB Games San Francisco and Niantic and is scheduled for release in 2019. Good news is that it will be free-to-play, although there is still not enough information on what kind of microtransactions to expect nor when will the beta testing start.
