Magic Lamp Stage 1-3
Complete Walkthrough
Welcome guys to our Dress up! Magic Lamp stage 1-2 walkthrough, where we go through the entire story and include all the gameplay elements, including our guide to outfits we used and how to obtain them. This story is based on the, of course, familiar Aladin storyline and it is adapted for the game.
This is the well-known rags-to-riches, zero to hero, princes, and the tramp love story adaptation. Of course, it is adapted a little bit to fit the storytelling model of the game, so here the female character is the main one, and other characters are a bit different, albeit quite recognizable to all who know the original story.
So far, we’ve met a couple of characters, including Gina, who is the main protagonist and the body Alison currently resides in. We’ve also met Kahir, a noble who is helping Gina, and Samar, a little girl that knew Gina from before. Also, we’ve met some slavers and, finally, we’ve heard of a new character, someone who is about to get introduced in this stage 1-3, and that’s Master Sinbad.
This stage doesn’t have any requirements, as it is still early in the story and the more difficult stages are still quite ahead of us. It does however suggest that you pick up a couple of items, just to make sure you nail that perfect score and you will need these later on in the book as well.
The two items suggested are the Master of Fate hairdo, which is obtained from Scheherazade encounters, and the other is the Right Direction necklace, obtained through the Merchant encounters. Both are used throughout the entire story, both for wearing and crafting other clothing items, so it is never too early to get these.
The last stage ended with Kahir and Samar convincing Gina to go see Master Sinbad and they were on their way to his home just as it ended. Now, let’s see this generous man and see what he has to say about the situation in the city.
Gina, Kahir, and Samar arrive at Sinbad’s residence, which is a luxurious palace in fact. The servants greet them at the door warmly and they seem to recognize Kahir. Samar invites Gina to come and find her after she settles in, while Kahir will lead Gina to Sinbad presumably.
As soon as Samar leaves, Gina starts feeling nervous and uninvited. Now that Samar is not here, she wonders if it’s rude to come in like this. But, Kahir says that it is not and that Sinbad is very easy-going and friendly. Gina starts wondering about who exactly is Kahir, but before she can ask, she hears booming laughter that fills the entire room.
Sinbad appears and greets Kahir first, confirming that they are very well acquainted. He also hints that Kahir must have snuck out again, seeing as he is here. He also tries to guess the excuse Kahir made to sneak out. The last time it was to travel to the Western Provinces and now, Sinbad says, Kahir looks like he is really ready for it.
Sinbad asks Kahir if he needs a Caravan. Kahir replies by saying that “mother” always missed her home, so he always wanted to see the Western Provinces with his own eyes. It is a pity, Kahir continues, that he was unable to make it happen still. As she listens to their conversation, their relationship looks like a good one to Gina.
Kahir proceeds to tell Sinbad why he’s here. As he mentions a favor, his gaze turns to Gina. Sinbad asks who this young maiden is and Gina introduces herself. She explains that she asked Kahir to bring her here to see Sinbad. She then tells Sinbad how she escaped from being sold as a slave.
Sinbad is intrigued and says that it is not an easy task to escape from a slaver. Gina says that it was thanks to Kahir. Sinbad nevertheless says she is brave and that he is glad she’s regained her freedom. He also says that it is a pity that the slum has been demolished and that she has nowhere to go now.
Sinbad proceeds to mention how he has helped many of the people who lost their homes after the slum was demolished. He says that they do work, have meals, and are free to leave anytime they want. As if guessing Gina’s purpose of coming here, he offers her that, if she’d like, she can stay and work for him, just like the others.
He extends a warm invitation, even before she’s had the chance to ask. Sinbad says that the easier tasks have been assigned to children and the elderly, but he is currently in need of a warehouse manager. More accurately, he needs someone to check the goods and assist in the store during peak hours. He asks Gina if she is willing to help him, and we arrive at branching choices in this stage. Our Magic Lamp stage 1-3 walkthrough will go through both choices below.
The choice to Hesitate
When choosing to hesitate, Gina tells Sinbad that she’s never done this type of work before and is not sure if she can perform it. However, Sinbad says that she shouldn’t worry and that he won’t make her do any dirty work. She can learn from the others and start with something she can do first.
After a short convincing, Gina agrees and promises she will work hard. She also thanks Master Sinbad sincerely and he answers with a hearty laugh. Sinbad tells her not to be formal and, like Kahir, she can just call him Sinbad.
Mahir suspects foul play in the demolishing that has befallen the slums. Sinbad says that the Royal Palace issued the decree to rid the capital of refugees. They are to build a new marketplace where the slum stood, he reveals.
Kahir is confused… “Royal Palace? You mean the King issued the decree?” he asks and immediately answers his own question by saying that it is impossible. He says that the king cares about the people and that he’d never issue a decree to get rid of anyone, especially the less fortunate ones.
It would appear that Sinbad’s source of information is the very workers who were chased away by soldiers. They answered to a “master” and Sinbad assumed it was the King. However, upon hearing the “master”, Kahir starts to wonder if that would be…
But, before he could even finish the sentence in his head, Sinbad interrupts him that tells him “that’s right!” Sinbad says that he had someone look into the matter and has learned that no slum in the capital was spared and that the Prime Minister was behind it all.
Sinbad has also learned that the King has intended to go easy on the people who lived there, but the Prime Minister has a reputation for hating the refugees. He suspects that the Prime Minister doesn’t want to build a shelter because it’s time-consuming and costly, and he wouldn’t think it was a good use of government time or money.
Also, Sinbad adds, the Prime Minister has forced some of the merchants to take in some of the refugees, while the businessmen who were unwilling to pay a higher Poll Tax simply proceeded to give these refugees to slavers to avoid the problem.
Kahir is furious now and he says that it is illegal what they’ve been doing. The minister, the merchants, the soldiers, everyone! He also wonders if the Prime Minister is condoning or profiting from this. Finally, he vows to find out the truth!
While listening to this, Gina thinks how the slum’s demolition is more complicated than she initially expected. Sinbad says that he also found out something strange when he took the people from the slums in.
It would appear there’s a pattern to all the demolition and enslavement. The only people who are banished are children, the disabled, and the elderly, meaning young, healthy people are taken for some other sinister purpose.
Some, like Gina Sinbad, says, might have been sold as slaves, but what about the others he asks… One old man told Sinbad that he saw the young, strong men taken by the soldiers to some unknown location. Kahir is even more intrigued when he hears that soldiers are conducting this as well…
Gina is also quite frightened at the possible implications this information could mean. She turns instinctively and sees an old man with white hair standing by the door. His bright eyes darken as soon as he sees Gina.
The old man then nods at Sinbad and leaves. Gina asks who was that and Sinbad says it is a man also from a slum who met a similar fate. In fact, his daughter was taken by a slaver and he used up all his wages looking for her.
Sinbad also tried but failed so far. When new young girls come by, Sinbad says, that man comes to have a look, hoping his daughter might turn up miraculously but is disappointed every time, like now. Gina realizes why his gaze darkened when he took a good look at her.
Gina says she hopes that girl is safe while Kahir says that slavers wouldn’t be able to plunder civilians in the capital on their own in such a short time. They must have had help from someone powerful enough to protect them, someone with resources…
Kahir is determined to get to the bottom of this and is heading to the Royal Palace right now to investigate. Gina is surprised he can just go to the palace as he wishes… Kahir stumbles a bit and explains to her he is actually… a scribe in the Royal Library. He says he must find out whether this matters with the refugees and the decree from the Royal Palace are related.
Gina tells him to wait! And, we get another branching choice in this stage. One is for Gina to ask Kahir if they will meet again and the other is to mention the money she borrowed from him. We will go through both of these choices in this walkthrough below.
The “Will we meet again?” choice
Gina asks Kahir if they will meet again and Alice inside of her thinks how he is the first friendly person she’s met since she arrived in this world, this body. She can use all the allies she can get right now. Kahir tells her not to worry as he visits Sinbad often and assures her they will meet again very soon.
Gina says she is very grateful for Kahir’s help and thanks him again, also saying it was great to have met him. Kahir returns the compliment by saying that Gina is a brave and kind girl and that it was his honor to help her. After saying their goodbyes, Kahir rushes out of the residence.
Sinbad now asks Gina if she’s tired and says he’ll arrange a place for her to stay right away. Meanwhile, she can go get changed. Gina agrees and we arrive at the dress up time in this stage. Also, Sinbad tells Gina he has a little welcoming gift for her and it is a lovely sapphire necklace called “Right Direction. Gina tells him it is beautiful and thanks him.
Dress Up Magic Lamp stage 1-3 clothing style requirements mandate Warm and Perky items. We will filter these out and we will also strive to use the suggested items for this stage just to ensure we score perfect in the final count. The suggested items are the Master of Fate hairdo and the Right Direction necklace we got as a gift from Sinbad. So, let’s get to it…
For the first head slot, we will use the best hat or cap we got, for there aren’t any suggested or required items for this stage specifically. Thus we shall use the Desert Praises crown that we got as a random from the balloons. It comes at 6 stars and will give us 855 in Perky for this outfit’s style needs.
As far as the hair goes, the suggested hairdo is the Master of Fate style, but it forbids any hat items on it and it is at only 1 star. So, just to nail that perfect score, we will go for the Alice in Winter hairdo, which fits our needs perfectly. It is an item that drops randomly from the balloons and it comes at 5 stars, giving us 678 in both Warm and Perky.
We shall use the best eyewear we got, in this case, the Cateye Shades that are at a maximum 6-star rank. These drop randomly from magical gifts and will contribute us with 741 in Perky style.
Now for the dress… If this is your first time playing through this Magic Lamp story, you won’t have the blueprint for Wanderer’s Hymn, since it is awarded precisely in this stage 1-3. So, if not, then stick to the usual Floral Dawn dress Kahir bought for Gina. We will use the Wanderer’s Hymn as it fits the style perfectly, comes at 5 stars, and awards us with 896 in both Warm and Perky.
We will go for the Snow Trail shoes, that fit the stage’s style requirements perfectly. They drop randomly from the Lucky Jerry balloons and are from the Swan Lake storyline. Also, these come at a high 5-star rank, awarding us with 585 in both Warm and Perky stats.
The Peachy Sweet socks are obtained from magical gifts as a random drop and they fit this stage perfectly. These are at 6 stars and will contribute to our overall score with 522 in both Perky and Warm.
For the first accessory, we shall use the necklace Master Sinbad gave gina as a gift. It is the Right Direction necklace, perfect for this stage. However, it is only at 2 stars, so it will give us a modest 176 in both Warm and Perky.
There are no earrings requirements for this stage so we shall use our best choice, which is currently the Goldener Saal Echo earrings, from the Gotham Memoirs storyline. These are obtained from the encounters with the companions from that story and come at 2 stars, giving us 176 in both Warm and Perky.
The best armband we can produce for this stage is the Spring Fling, a well-known item from the Queen Marie storyline. This one is at 4 stars and will give us 313 in Perky. It drops from the balloons randomly.
We shall also use the Winter Ruby ring, which blueprint is obtained from the Swan Lake stage 1-15. This one is at 4 stars and will give us 313 in Warm. Not too good, but better this than nothing.
For the final accessory slot, we will use the Floral Dance handheld item. It is bought for Fantasy Coins at the Fantasy Fair and it is at a high 5-star rank. It gives us 598 in Perky for our current outfit.
As far as the makeup goes, the only one that contributes to our current outfit is the Once in a Lifetime makeup style, from the Fantasy Fair. This one is at a solid 4-star rank and it will contribute to this outfit with 309 in Perky style stat.
You can use any cat as long as it contributes to any of the required style stats, or both ideally. We only have this one that will give us 162 to Warm.
Finally, we shall use the Bejeweled Pipe relic, which is obtained through leveling up Goodwill with Sinbad. It enhances Warm and Perky items by a fixed percent. Now, let’s see how we did…
We made it! The threshold for the perfect score was at 4000 and we are at 4346, so we will get all the rewards from the stage. Now, let us see where the story takes us next…
That very evening, Gina is feeling grateful for she is finally safe and sound in the shelter Sinbad provided. She hears a cat meow and a second later it jumps in through the window. The cat comes close to Gina and lands beside her bed.
Gina asks the cat if it is homeless too and why it is here… She is obviously glad and invites the cat to accompany her tonight, promising to share food with her. Then, Gina notices that the cat seems to be holding something down with her paw…
After you tap on the catspaw, you get a black orb…a cloudy glass bead more accurately. It doesn’t look like anything special at first, but then Gina observes it carefully and sees something murky rolling within it. The sight is too obscure to make out and she rubs her eyes, trying to look at it again.
However, when she gives it a second look, the bead looks quite ordinary. Gina thinks that her mind is playing tricks on her and that she obviously needs sleep. The stray cat nudges her leg and lies down beside it, curling into a furball.
Gina lies down, resting up a bit and she remembers that man’s expression when he saw that his daughter did not return… She hopes he finds her. As the cat purrs gently, Gina closes her eyes and makes a wish. And, the wish is as follows:
She wishes for the refugees to find a home and then falls asleep. This marks the end of stage 1-3. We will now go through both of the other choices that are left in this stage, so please find them below.
Back to Previous ChoiceWe are now back at the first branching path and we will choose the second option, to readily agree when Sinbad asked Gina if she is willing to help him out in the store and with the storage. This additional choice will cost an additional 5 stamina.
The “Readily agree” Choice
As the choice implies, Gina agrees happily for the opportunity and jumps at it. She says that, as long as there is a place for her to stay, she is not afraid of any hardship. Sinbad smiles approvingly at this and then laughs heartily.
He tells Gina not to worry as he won’t make her do any dirty work.

Back to Previous ChoiceThe “About the money I borrowed from you…” choice
This additional choice will cost an additional 5 stamina. Gina now mentions the money Kahir lent her for the dress and promises to pay him back as soon as she can from the wages she earns. But, she is worried about how to find him when she has enough to pay him back. Kahir tells her not to worry as he visits Sinbad often and assures her they will meet again very soon.
