Magic Lamp Stage 1-8
Complete Walkthrough
Welcome dear readers to Blue Moon Game’s Dress up! Magic Lamp stage 1-8 walkthrough, in which we will go through the story and include all included elements, along with the outfit we used and how to obtain all the individual clothing items. This story is based on the, of course, familiar Aladin storyline and it is adapted for the game.
By now, we’ve met most of the main characters of the story, which include Gina, the main character, and the body Alison embodies. We’ve met Kahir, her friend in need, Sinbad, the generous adventurer, and many others. We’ve also met the Magician, who is the villain of the story and an equivalent of the Jafar in the original Aladin tale.
Now, the Magician wanted to use Gina to find the lamp for himself, but Gina managed to find the lamp and survive the trap in the cave. When he tried to trick her and take the lamp while leaving her trapped. There was an altercation and she fell in, but with the Magic Lamp in her possession.
She then met the Genie in the lamp, who Gina named Light, who actually helped her survive her fall, and the two made a pact. She is to help him retrieve a Gemstone he needs to augment the power of the lamp and also return his memory, while he will grant her one wish afterward.
Gina promised Light she will help retrieve the gemstone and to do so she needed her first clue, which she hoped to find in the Royal Library. Now, the library is in the Royal Palace, which is closed for the public, but Gina attempted to sneak in with an envoy of visitors. She was caught and just before she was put in prison, Kahir appeared to save her.
Although Kahir told Gina he was only a library scribe, the guards at the palace called him his “Highness” and obeyed his orders without question. After the guards were gone, Gina and Kahir are left alone and this is where we left off in the last stage.
This Magic Lamp stage 1-8 is titled The Princess Troubles and it requires you to have Goodwill with Light at Lv. 2, which is easy enough to obtain even through just daily one-tap interactions. However, the stage’s rewards are quite important for further progress down the story so we must achieve that perfect score so we get all the rewards, including the Blueprint: Lunar Phase, a recipe for the dress we can’t progress without.
We also get the Magician’s Dream ring as a reward for the perfect score and, for that, we will craft all of the suggested items from the Stage Hint, which are the Whirlwind Romance hair and the Pearl Bracelet. Now, let’s see if Gina and Kahir will find a clue about the gemstone.
Kahir helped Gina avoid imprisonment and he’s now brought her to a private room in the library. IT is Kahir’s study and sitting room combines, he tells her, and no one enters here without his permission, so she can relax now. Kahir tells Gina she gave him a shock.
He was caught off guard when he saw her as he never would have expected to see her here. He almost thought he was seeing things. Gina tells him she was the one who got the shock as she didn’t expect him to be the prince of the Full Moon Kingdom!
Kahir makes a point about hiding his identity in public. Gina tells him that he could be hiding his real name in that case. When she told the guard Kahir’s name, Gina says, she was also thrown into prison for blaspheming the royal family… Kahir tells her that his name is really long, includes the Royal family’s last name, the great ancestor’s name, and more…
Those names are familiar to the people, but “Kahir” is the one that really belongs to him and it is the least known outside of the palace. Only his close friends call him that, Kahir says. Sometimes, Kahir continues, he thinks he only gets to be himself when he visits people in secret. Kahir laughs at this, but Gina notices he looks a little disheartened, so she needs to choose what to do now and we arrive at our first branching path in this stage. Gina can either console or encourage him, and we will go through both below.
Console him
Gina attempts to console him by telling Kahir to cheer up as he can go outside the Palace in disguise and mingle with the people whenever he wants. Isn’t this how the two of them actually met, Gina, reminds him… Kahir says that is true, but only until he officially becomes the crown prince. Only before that can he enjoy his “freedom”.
So, Gina asks if she can still call him “Kahir” inside the Palace and he responds with of course! What he means, Kahir says, is that he hopes Gian will always call him “Kahir”, no matter where they are. Gina tells him that is great as she was worried for a second that she wouldn’t be able to talk freely with him anymore because of his title.
Kahir is glad Gina’s view of him doesn’t change now that she’s found out what and who he really is. After that is settled, Kahir asks Gina to tell him of her intentions and why she’s snuck into the palace. She took a big risk to do so and Kahir doesn’t think she is just here to attend the welcoming ceremony for the envoys.
Gina tells him she had no choice but to disguise herself as an envoy and try to sneak in because he told her he was a scribe at the Royal Library. She was planning on finding him and asking for help with some information she needs, Gina explains.
Kahir asks what she wants and Gina tells him that during Sinbad’s last banquet, the guests talked about the Forty Thieves. She tells Kahir she really wants to find out more about them, but there’s so little that is known about the subject. She tells him Sinbad suggested there might be something in the Royal Library about them, so…
As she says it, Gina fears if the reason she gave him for coming here is perhaps too unbelievable and unconvincing. Kahir frowns sternly and asks her if she is really just curious about the Forty Thieves. HE stares into her eyes and she starts to get nervous. Gina stutters and lowers her head, thinking about what to say next…
Kahir continues his questions and probes further but guesses Gina may be interested in the treasure they hid in a cave, according to the folk tales. As he says that, Gina is thinking about how he guessed as much and hopes he doesn’t start thinking she is a greedy person as she is looking for treasure…
Kahir then tells her that, since returning to the Palace after the last time they met, he’s been investigating the missing refugees and all the clues he found point towards the cave. His guess is that someone’s been using them as an excuse to gather men to search for the cave.
Gina is confused since they both know it was the Prime Minister who was behind the demolishing. Could he be the one searching for the cave, she asks, and Kahir answers that he is afraid it is so. As the Prime Minister of the Full Moon Kingdom and Kahir’s uncle no less, the man is already immensely wealthy and has no need for treasure.
Kahir guesses his uncle must be after something really special in that cave. As he says that, Gina feels a chill down her spine and wonders if the Prime Minister could really be after the Magic Lamp as well… Kahir tells Gina that she must have heard something about it as she is trying to find the whereabouts of her missing friends.
As Kahir assumes Gina is looking for her missing friends, he tells her that, from what he observed, his uncle seems to have stopped his search. His investigation of the missing commoners may have played a role in this, Kahir suspects, but his uncle is no the type to give up easily, he says. Kahir’s guess is that his uncle either already found the cave or he’s become even more discrete.
Gina thinks how the Magician was the first one to find the cave, but she now has the Magic Lamp. If the Prime Minister is looking for it too, he won’t be able to find anything now. However, Gina thinks to herself, does he know anything about the gemstone, and has he also checked the material in the Library on the subject…
Gina has a bad feeling about this whole thing as it is picking up in both severity and pace. Finally, she tells Kahir that they should check out the historical records regarding the Forty Thieves. Maybe they can uncover the Prime Minister’s plot along the way. Kahir agrees and tells her he was thinking the same.
However, Kahir continues, many confidential documents are stored in the Royal Library and foreign envoys are not allowed entry. Kahir tells Gina he will get one of his maids to help her get changed so that she looks like a palace official. Gina agrees and it is Dress up! Time in this stage.
Magic Lamp stage 1-8 clothing style requirements dictate Gentle and Formal items. We shall use the two items we crafted especially for this stage, which were hinted at, and those are the Whirlwind Romance hair and the Pearl Bracelet. We will fill other slots as best we can so that we can get past the perfect score threshold and get the blueprint reward we need.
For our first heat slot, we shall use the Song of the Sky hair decoration, from the Springtime Story set. This item and the set are obtained when activating the Season 5 Fashion Booster and reaching a specified member level. This one is at 6 stars and will contribute us with 855, albeit only to the Formal style stat.
Song of the Sky hair thing has one con, and it is that the item rarely goes along with any hair. Fortunately, we have the Windowsill Breeze hairdo that is compatible and it is at 5 stars. It will only contribute to Formal, but with a hefty 678. This hair is from the Springtime Story set. This item and the set are obtained when activating the Season 5 Fashion Booster and reaching a specified member level.
The facial accessory we will use is this Moon Drop decoration that is from the Magic Lamp storyline, from the Thousand Nights set. It drops randomly from the balloons and it is at a nice 4-star rank, providing us with 370 to Formal for our current style needs.
The main item in our outfit is the Springtime Story dress, which is also from the set we shall be using mostly in this combination. It is at a maximum 6-star rank and will give us 1793, but only to Formal. This item and the set are obtained when activating the Season 5 Fashion Booster and reaching a specified member level.
As for the shoes, we will use the Dancing Hearts pomps that are at a nice, high 5-star rank and will contribute to our outfit with 585, but only to Formal. This item drops randomly from the balloons and it is from the Romy and Julius story.
We shall also use the socks from the Springtime Story set, which are the Pure White Florals. These are at a high 5-star rank and will give us 365 to Formal. This item and the set are obtained when activating the Season 5 Fashion Booster and reaching a specified member level.
For our first accessory slot, we will use the Reminiscent collar that is from the Queen Marie story. It fits the style needs perfectly, giving ys 253 to both Formal and Gentle at its 3-star rank. This item drops from encounters in its story and it is a part of the Austrian Flower set.
The earrings we shall go for are the Mother’s Bequest. This item drops from encounters in its story and it is a part of the Austrian Flower set. They are at a low 2-star rank but they fit both our style requirements and will give us 182 to Formal and Gentle.
Pearl Bracelet is the item suggested by the stage hint and we shall use it. It fits perfectly giving us 230 in both Gentle and Formal, for its somewhat low rank of 2 stars. This item is from the Darn Breaks set from the Magic Lamp and it is used throughout the story often.
The Private Quarters ring is also a nice fit for this stage’s style requirement. It is at only 2 stars but it will give us 171 to both Formal and Gentle, which is a nice contribution from a ring. This item is from the Evening Study set and drops from Encounters with Edward during Shadows of London.
Another item from the Springtime Story set is Letter from March this time, a handheld item that is at a high 6-star rank. This will only fir for the Formal style requirement, but it will give us a hefty 885 to it. This hair is from the Springtime Story set. This item and the set are obtained when activating the Season 5 Fashion Booster and reaching a specified member level.
We shall use the Nostalgia in Spring makeup style. It doesn’t fit the requirements perfectly, but it is at a high 5-star rank and it will give us 432 to Formal. It is obtained via 2021 Princess Gala event.
Use any cat at this point that can increase your score for even a little bit, for the perfect threshold is not that high in this stage 1-8.
Lastly, we will use the Dawn Blade relic that is from the Magic Lamp story. It has the Formal and Noble style properties, but it will increase Noble item scores for a flat percent currently. Now, let’s see how we did in the total score…
Perfect! We’ve managed to get past the threshold and nail all the rewards in this stage with 2910, most important is the Blueprint: Lunar Phase, a recipe for the dress we need for progressing further into the story. Now, let’s see what Gina and Kahir find in the library…
Sometime later, it would appear that the search is not going as smoothly as Gina perhaps hoped it would. They can’t find anything on the gemstone whatsoever as all the historical records on the Forty Thieves ransacking the Palace are vague at best. There is no mention of a Magic Lamp, a gemstone, or any of it anywhere…
Kahir thinks it is very strange that this is all of the info on that subject one can find in the library and asks the scribe about it. The scribe tells his highness that all the information he is looking for is here, but there are only a few pages describing the events from the invasion by the Forty Thieves to the rebellion.
Kahir suspects foul play as the information clearly looks tempered with and intentionally obscured. Gina is thinking about what to do now as this looks like a dead end and she asks Kahir if he thinks the documents have really been tampered with. Kahir asks the scribe if anyone else looked through these files recently…
The scribe says that Master Chapur, the Palace Astrologer, dropped by on the orders of the Prime Minister to read these materials a while ago. “Chapur?” Kahir asks… When his Uncle proposed an Astrology Chamber, he remembers, he also recommended a candidate for the position of chief astrologer and that is his name…
But, if the man is already working here, how come Kahir hasn’t seen him at all, he wonders. At that moment, a guard outside the library door reports that the Prime Minister is arriving. Gina observes as a thin, wiry middle-aged man dressed in luxurious clothes appears in the doorway. He looks really arrogant.
There is something else right behind him, a familiar wand and piercing eyes that shock Gina to the core when they appear… That is him, the Magician, she thinks in shock. Why could he be here? Then, in a split second, Gina realizes that he might recognize her and thinks what to do now and we arrive at a second choice in this stage. We can choose two branching paths, to seek help from Kahir or to confront the Magician calmly. We will go through both so please find the navigation buttons below.
Seek Help from Kahir
Gina realizes that there is no time for her to escape so all she can do is hide behind Kahir, lower her head, and tug on his sleeve. He nods and reassures her before the arrivals can see and then faces them. The Prime Minister finally speaks…
The Prime Minister skips saying hello and immediately proceeds to scorn Kahir for not welcoming the envoys and instead of coming here to read old books in the library. Kahir explains that he promised his father that he will attend the banquet this evening so he has permitted him to skip the daytime events and spend time studying.
The Prime Minister asks him if he is really studying or not just avoiding talks regarding the Northern Kingdom’s marriage proposal. He is the prince, the Prime Minister reminds him, so some fooling around is to be expected he says, but he should not forget his duties. Kahir asks his uncle what does he mean by this…
Gina feels the Prime Minister gazing at her and lowers her head even further, trying to avoid attention. The Prime Minister continues explaining how the Royal Library is only accessible to members of the royal family and appointed ministers, so where does this girl, whom he does not recognize he says, come from, the minister asks…
Kahir gives their false alibi for Gina being there and it seems to work, the minister goes on to the next topic and says he hopes Kahir doesn’t bury himself in esoteric knowledge. It is important that he proposes to the Princess of the Northern Kingdom, he reminds Kahir.
And, Kahir reminds the minister that he has said many times before that he refuses to rely solely upon a political marriage when it comes to the kingdom’s safety. He says that we should continue with our reforms and build upon our strengths internally.
The Prime Minister subtly cuts down Kahir’s bold claims on the spot and tells him that if he persists in his meaningless research, then he is afraid that the kingdom will fall under the control of other countries.
Finally, Kahir has had enough and asks his uncle if he has come here to pester him for permission to shut down the Royal Alchemy Workshop again and says that he will never agree to that. He says that his father, the ruler, has already endorsed the research at the Alchemy Workshop and it shall be the birthplace of new scientific knowledge.
The Prime Minister again finds ways to wiggle out of Kahir’s attempts to point the conversation towards his side and also turns it all around, calling him petty and wasteful. Besides, he adds, the alchemist he is pinning his hopes on has already submitted his resignation and left the Palace. Kahir is surprised by this…
“Awad? He left the Palace?! When?” Kahir asks. The Prime Minister tells him it was just a few days ago while he was busy investigating the missing refugees. The palace has invested heavily in his research, he adds, but the alchemist yielded no results so far so he slipped away while Kahir was busy, maybe from guilty conscience the minister adds.
Gina thinks how the two are clearly at each other’s throats, but at the same time quite polite. She finds this Prime Minister despicable as she sees he is clearly trying to get revenge on Kahir for the investigation. He must have driven the alchemist away, Gina guesses.
However, she suddenly feels a nefarious stare from the side. The Magician finally speaks, for the first time in this conversation, and says that this official looks very familiar to him, talking about Gina. He says he seems to have seen her somewhere before. Gina tells him that they don’t know each other and that he must be mistaken…
The Magician is not so easily distracted off his target and he wants to take a good look at her, however, Kahir notices something is off and immediately steps in front of her. He asks the Magician if he is one of his uncle’s new servants for he was not taught the basic palace etiquette. When he is before the Prince and the Prime Minister, he can only speak when spoken to, Kahir explains.
The Prime Minister giggles at this and says that he was just about to introduce this gentleman to Kahir. This is Chapur, the Chief Astrologer he has just hired. Kahir says he thought that the Astrology Chamber was not formally approved yet and the minister seems to have lost his patience…
The entire cancelation of the Alchemy Workshop was to redirect the funds to the Astrology Chamber and the minister now hides his motives no more. He tells Kahir it is pointless to keep arguing about this. Unfortunately, he adds, the Prime Minister has more bad news for Kahir…
Hampered by a sandstorm during his trip, the minister continues, the Governor of the Western Provinces has canceled his audience with the King. Kahir asks what is then to happen with the negotiations on the amendments to the Western Provinces’ taxation bill and the minister says he will handle this matter, no need for worry.
Kahir keeps adding to the argument that he shouldn’t do this, but the Prime Minister tells him to please be considerate of his sick, bedridden father and not bother him too much. And, the minister adds, he should also show more concern for his mother. Now that the Governor of the Western Provinces has canceled his trip, the Queen will miss her chance to receive visitors from her hometown.
Perhaps news of the Prince’s engagement, the minister adds, can raise her spirits. However, these words infuriate Kahir and he lashes out at his uncle. He tells him he will not use marriage to get peace and his mother will never force him to do that. He also tells the Prime Minister that he can’t use his mother to threaten him.
The Prime Minister continues poking at Kahir, even insinuating he is shirking his royal duties, and again turns it all around to make it look he worries about his marriage. He also tells Kahir he hopes the prince listens to his advice. Luckily, this doesn’t last for much longer and, after urging KAhir to attend the banquet, the Prime Minister and the magician leave together.
Gina feels relieved for not being recognized but just as the two men were leaving, the Magician turns back and flashes an ominous look at her and she can’t help but stare back at him. When they are gone, Gina turns to Kahir and asks him if he really intends to marry the princess of another kingdom…
Kahir is still in a fit of rage and doesn’t answer Gina immediately. Gina realizes it was the wrong moment to ask him that and that she should try and change the subject. Here, we arrive at a third choice point in this stage 1-8. We have two branching paths, for Gina to try and talk about the Alchemist or the Queen, and we will go through both below.
The Alchemist
Gina stirs the conversation towards the Alchemist who left the Palace. She asks Kahir if he was an important minister? Kahir says that Awad was a very talented Alchemist and he was very knowledgeable and well-versed in gemstones and minerals. His father, the King, accepted him greatly.
The Royal Alchemy Workshop, Kahir continues, is a beacon for the kingdom’s scholars. He firmly believes that one day, alchemy will free everyone from the limitations of this desert environment. Awad’s talents were indispensable for achieving this goal, Kahir says.
Gina guesses the obvious, the Prime Minister did let Awad go only to hinder Kahir. She tells Kahir that he can’t just give up. He has to find Awad and bring him back! Kahir says he wants to but the banquet is happening and his Uncle is tracking his every move very closely. He doesn’t think he can leave the Palace anytime soon even…
Finally, Kahir gets an idea. He knows where Awad lives and he asks Gina if she will deliver a handwritten letter to him. All she has to do is pass it on to him. Gina realizes that this Alchemist supposedly knows a lot about gemstones and minerals. Maybe she can ask him about the gemstone that Light is looking for.
Finally, she tells Kahir she will take care of it! And, here we reach the end of the Magic Lamp stage 1-8 with the branching paths we’ve chosen the first time around. We will now go through hit again and choose the other branching paths in all 3 choices.
Back to Previous ChoiceEncourage him
This is the first branching point in the stage and we’ve already gone through the choice to console him. Now, we choose to Encourage Kahir and this will cost us the extra 5 stamina. When chosen, Gina tells Kahir he should be his true self more often. “Be my true self?” Kahir asks…
He looks at Gina and his bright eyes look intriguing. Gina tells him she doesn’t think he is happy that he only gets to be himself outside the Palace. She reminds him of the first time they met when he said he wanted to abolish slavery because everyone should be free and able to pursue happiness.
Gina shows Kahir how she saw him and encourages him to achieve what his heart wants. Kahir thanks her for the encouragement and motivation, and calls her Miss Gina. Though he might never become a monarch, Kahir says, he does cherish this dream.
Instead of basking in the glory of his family’s fame, he continues, he hopes that one day the Faith family will be proud of him. Gina tells him she believes his dream will come true.
She tells him Sinbad suggested there might be something in the Royal Library about them, so…
As she sais it, Gina fears if the reason she gave him for coming here is perhaps too unbelievable and unconvincing. Kahir frowns sternly and asks her if she is really just curious about the Forty Thieves. HE stares into her eyes and she starts to get nervous. The first time around we chose to seek help from Kahir, and now we go with the other path.
Back to Previous ChoiceConfront him Calmly
Gina realizes that even though the Magician might recognize her, he must maintain a polite façade while the Prince is present, or at least she hopes so. So, maybe just confronting him calmly is the way to go, she thinks. She stands upright and steps forward with a smile, then bows to the Prime Minister and the Magician also.
Even before saying hello, the Prime Minister starts scorning Kahir, reminding him that the Royal Library is only accessible to members of the royal family and appointed ministers. He says he is sure Kahir knows this already. Where did this girl come from, the minister asks…
Kahir gives a flimsy alibi for Gina being here, but it seems to work as Kahir proceeds to ask his uncle who this is with him. The Prime Minister says that he has come here to introduce this man to the prince. This is Chapur, he says, the Chief Astrologer he just hired.
Chapur, who Gina knows as the Magician, says that this lady official seems very familiar to him. He must have met her before, Chapur adds. Gina tells him he must have been mistaken as they’ve never met before. Chapur is not convinced and says he doubts that and asks her to allow him to refresh his memory.
Luckily, Kahir is there to save her and steps in front of the two. He tells Chapur that the royal family has not yet approved the establishment of an Astrology Chamber, but whether he ends up staying in the Palace or not, he must learn to respect his friends.
The Prime Minister jumps in and says that he is afraid Kahir’s concerns are a bit superfluous. He continues to explain how the Executive Cabinet has passed a proposal to establish the Palace Astrology Chamber and redirect the Royal Alchemy Workshop funds to it.
Kahir is infuriated by this and argues that both he and his father, the King, supported the alchemy research, so the cabinet had no right to abolish it. The Prime Minister explains how the Royal Alchemy Workshop has consumed a lot of royal resources over many years but has not yet produced a decent result of the research.
This in turn has made things very difficult for His Majesty the King. The alchemist Kahir is pinning his hopes on, the Prime Minister continues, has already submitted his resignation and left the Palace. Perhaps he was ashamed of his lack of success, he adds.
The Prime Minister answers that Awad left just a few days ago, while Kahir was busy investigating the missing refugees. Kahir says it is impossible, as Awad is diligent and rigorous. He wouldn’t do something so irresponsible!
But, the Prime Minister calls Kahir his “stubborn nephew” and explains that the replacement of the Alchemy Workshop by the Astrology Chamber is a done deal. It is pointless to keep arguing about this. Unfortunately, he does have more bad news for the prince, he adds…
We have two branching paths, for Gina to try and talk about the Alchemist or the Queen. We’ve already tried option one, so we go with the second choice this time.
Back to Previous ChoiceThe Queen
When we choose this, Gina asks Kahir if the Queen will feel upset now that the Governor of the Western Provinces is not going to make it to the summit. Kahir says that his father’s health is not improving at all and his mother has been overworked for a long time now and she’s exhausted.
Kahir’s mother was born in the Western Provinces, he says, and she hasn’t been back home for 20 years now. He was hoping that the Governor’s visit would cheer her up but this sandstorm couldn’t have happened at a worse time. Kahir looks so disappointed and Gina can’t help but feel sad for him.
Gina feels obliged to help Kahir and, finally, she mumbles to herself that if the Queen’s hometown makes her so happy… Kahir asks what is she mumbling and Gina tells him she has an idea of a nice surprise for the Queen. Kahir is interested and his eyes light up, as Gina notices.
Gina starts telling Kahir something, but she is interrupted by a nearby scribe, who tells Kahir that His Majesty the King has sent a servant to escort the Prince to the banquet. Kahir turns to Gina and tells her he would really like to hear her plan, but he has to go now.
Kahir and Gina agree to meet back at the Palace tomorrow and this marks the end of the stage. This is also the end of our Dress Up! Magic Lamp stage 1-8 walkthrough and we continue our guides in the next stage, so please find it at the navigation bar at the top of the page.
