Hello and welcome to our Dress up! Magic Lamp stage 2-4 full walkthrough and guide. In the previous stage, Gina had a dream in which she saw Light surrounded by fog. She tried to reach him, to call out to him, but she couldn’t. Light smiled at her, and as the fog thickened, he vanished from existence. Afraid that Light might be truly gone, Gina jumped out of the bed and rubbed the magic lamp as hard as she could, while calling for Light to come out. But, there was no answer. Afraid that she might lose her friend forever, Gina decided to sneak into the palace and steal the flawless ruby from Kahir’s scimitar. She noticed that there are only a few guards patrolling around the library so she patiently waited until they left, and entered the Kahir’s study.

NOTE: STAGE 2-4 will be unlocked if you chose the “Near the couch” option during the previous stage 2-3.

The stage window will display all the relevant information. Hit Start when you are ready to begin.

Our story continues with Gina returning home with flawless ruby safely in her possession. However, it was raining outside when Gina traveling back home, so she decided that she should change first, before doing anything else.

As soon as she changed, Gina decided that she should try and fix the magic lamp. She inserted the ruby into the magic lamp, but nothing happened. She tried rubbing the lamp repeatedly, but still, Light didn’t show up. The flawless ruby was her only chance to save Light and it failed, so Gina falls into despair. She started to cry, realizing that she will never see Light again. But at this moment a mysterious voice called out to her. It was Chapur, and he knows that Gina has the Magic Lamp.

Gina is shocked and demands to know how Chapur managed to get into her room. Magician calmly explains that he saw Gina while she was sneaking around the palace and decided to follow her. He also knows that she stole the flawless ruby. However, he doesn’t know that Gina was caught and that Kahir decided to let her go. However, Chapur thinks that the Prime Minister might make a move against Kahir and try to seize power since the Prince lost a family heirloom, only a couple of days after his coronation. Gina is confused a bit, but Chapur simply explains that blood relatives in the Fatih family fought against each other for generations, all in an attempt to seize power. Kahir losing the flawless ruby might just be the pretext that the Prime Minister was waiting for to move against him.

Gina recalls the conversation between the Prime Minister and Chapur. She also remembered that Light wanted to avoid stealing the flawless ruby because that could lead to chaos, since losing a symbol of power could shake the trust in the ruling family. However, Chapur points out that it is too late to think about it right now. What’s done is done. He wants to try to fix the Magic Lamp, since he only ever cared about acquiring the lamp, and wasn’t really interested in the Prime Minister’s scheme. We can conclude that from their conversation during stage 2-2.

Gina points out that she already tried to fix the Magic Lamp, but the flawless ruby didn’t work. Chapur just laughed after hearing this. He explains that the ruby only has a sentimental value as a symbol of power and, as such, it has no use to him, but is pretty important to the Fatih family. Moreover, if the flawless ruby had any magical powers, the Magician would sense that and would never allow Gina to get her hands on it. So, the flawless ruby is indeed just a plain jewel, which means that Light was telling the truth. But, Gina isn’t completely convinced that Chapur only wanted the magic lamp. She suspects that he was a mastermind behind the plot to poison the King, and confronts him about it.

But, the Magician denies any involvement in this matter. He claims that he has no interest in the political schemes, the only thing he cares about is the Magic Lamp. Well, he is probably telling the truth. But, Gina informs him that the Magic Lamp has lost all its magical properties and it’s now no different than a common lamp. Chapur replies that he suspected that something like this might happen. That’s why he did some research in advance and found a way to repair the lamp, in case it lost its magical powers. He explains that the Dark Magic should do the trick.

Gina doesn’t trust Chapur, but the Magician points out that she has no other choice, just like he told her way back when they were in the cave of the forty thieves. Now, Chapur has finally lost his patience, and he demands from Gina to hand him over the Magic Lamp. He’s done talking. With that, the head of the serpent which is on top of Chapur’s staff starts glowing, and out of her, the black mists start spilling out. Obviously, Chapur used some kind of a spell, and he talks to Gina, biding her to hand him over the Magic Lamp, promising that all of her troubles will be over after that. Gina is under the influence of a spell, and she realizes that she can’t control her own body. Now, she has two choices.

Hand over the Magic Lamp

Stubbornly resist
NOTE: The “Hand over the Magic Lamp” option will lead to a bad ending.

If you choose the first choice “Hand over the Magic Lamp” Gina will hand over the Magic Lamp to Chapur, unable to resist his spell. The Magician taunts her, saying that the Magic Lamp doesn’t belong here and that he will be able to use its full potential. After he got the Magic Lamp, Chapur turned around and left. As soon as he got out of the room, the spell that was controlling Gina ended, and she collapsed to the floor.

After that, the story continues sometime later (days or weeks) with Gina waking up during the stormy night and hearing shouting in the streets. She walks to the window and sees heavily armed soldiers pushing people and urging them to stay in their homes. Outside of the city walls is an unknown army, and it seems that the city is under siege. This is probably the result of the Prime Minister’s scheme with the Eastern Provinces. So, we got another Bad ending “Before the Storm”.

Back to Previous Choice
NOTE: If you choose the second option “Stubbornly Resist” there are two different outcomes based on your previous choice during stage 2-2. If you chose to “Follow Chapur” during stage 2-2 Gina will be able to resist his spell, and we will now explore this choice.

If you choose the second choice “Stubbornly Resist” Gina will try to focus and shake off the effect of the spell but to no avail. At this moment, the Magic Lamp shook in her arms, and Gina realized that Light was still there, and didn’t completely vanish. Excited, she starts rubbing the Magic Lamp in a desperate attempt to summon Light, but nothing happens. Gina is hopeless, but at this moment she noticed the expression on Chapur’s face. It looked like the Magician was anxious and scared. He had the same look on his face previously when Light challenged him to a magic duel.

Gina, realizing that Chapur’s confidence is shaken, decided to try to trick him. She rubs the Magic Lamp once more, calling for Light to come out so that they can fight the Magician together. Chapur remembers that the name of the creature he faced in the garden was Light. In shock, he drops his guard and his spell for a few moments. And that’s what Gina was hoping for. Clutching the Magic Lamp to her chest, she rushed toward the door. But, Chapur quickly regained his composure, and he attacks her with one of his spells before she could reach the door.

In order to avoid the attack, Gina jumps to the side and crashes into the cabinet. As she crashed into the cabinet, the pendant that she wore at the beginning falls out. She picked it up and noticed that the crystal inside her old pendant is glowing brightly. Gina is surprised, but she immediately realized that the crystal in the pendant must be the gemstone that Light was talking about. They spent all this time looking for it, while it was sitting right there, in her room, in front of their noses. Regardless, Gina was very fortunate to make this discovery, and she immediately pulls out the crystal from the pendant with the intention to insert it into the slot on the Magic Lamp.

Chapur runs toward her, yelling and ordering her to stop. But it’s too late. The crystal creates a glowing barrier around Gina and the Magic Lamp, and this barrier seems impenetrable to Chapur’s attacks. The crystal starts glowing brighter as Gina brings it closer to the lamp. Gina screams for Light to wake up, but there’s no answer.

However, she finally managed to insert the crystal into the slot on the Magic Lamp, and the crystal starts shining with red light. Terrified, Chapur stumbles back a few steps. He is shocked because he believed that it was impossible for Gina to fix the lamp. However, Gina can now only see a bright light around her, and she feels like she is floating. Suddenly, she gets the feeling that she has been teleported somewhere, just like when Light used this spell to transport them from the garden. Gina opens her eyes and finds herself at the market. She has no idea where Chapur might be, but he is not around here. Actually, there is no one around here, and the market is usually crowded with people. Strange.

Not knowing what else to do, Gina decides to head towards Sinbad’s estate. While going through the market, she realized that there are no shops and that the market looks much more differently than she remembers. Even though she walked through the familiar streets, Gina couldn’t find Sinbad’s estate anywhere. It looked like Sinbad’s house doesn’t even exist. Thinking that she probably got lost, Gina decides to turn into one of the streets and there she spots someone. Well, she’s lost, so she decided to ask the stranger for directions to Sinbad’s house.

However, it seems that the man is very stressed out and in a hurry. He replies that he has never heard of Sinbad. Gina tries to explain that Sinbad is a wealthy man who owns a lot of shops and a huge house in this part of town. The man gives her a confused look, almost as if he is thinking that she is joking with him. He explains that this is a poor part of town and that no one here has such a wealthy as Gina described. With that said, the man mentions that the entire country is in turmoil. Also, he suspects that Gina is a foreigner. To him, that seems like the only logical explanation, since she doesn’t know her way around the city. However, the man then advises her to leave town as soon as she can, explaining that it’s not safe to be here.

Scared, Gina asks the man to explain what’s going on. The man explains that the royal family has fallen out of grace and that the provinces have rebelled. With a visible fear in his eyes, he explains that the rebel armies are outside of the city gates and they could launch their attack at any moment. After saying this, the man shook his head and ran away, leaving confused Gina behind. But, before she could make any sense of it, she hears somebody yelling that the rebels are at the northern gate, and urging people to flee in the other direction, to the southern gate. Thinking about what she just heard, Gina suspects that the Prime Minister probably made some kind of a deal with the Eastern Provinces, and orchestrated this rebellion. Gina, realizing that Kahir might be in grave danger, decides to head toward the palace. On her way there, a lot of people, visibly frightened, pass her, and all of them are heading away from the palace.

When Gina reached the palace, she saw some strange flag posted above the dome of the palace. Then she saw Light and called out to him. But it seems that Light doesn’t recognize her. Well, at first, Gina thinks that Light is joking with her. She tells him to stop fooling around and tells him that they should go and aid Kahir. Also, she wants to know if his magic is back online because that would be of huge help in this situation.

But, it looks like Light truly doesn’t recognize her. Confused, Gina thinks that Light might still be disoriented after being in a weakened state. However, Light still looks at her like she is a complete stranger. He advises her to flee toward the Southern gate along with the other civilians, and leave the city. Gina looks into his eyes and doesn’t see even a glimpse of recognition. This Light in front of her has no idea who she is…

Well, this stage was very exciting. My guess is that Gina traveled to the past and met with Light when he was still human. Also, I think that we can assume that Light is actually Kahir’s ancestor. This would explain his strange reaction to the flawless ruby on Kahir’s scimitar (the ruby was in possession of the Fatih family for generations). Besides that, Sinbad said that Kahir and Light are very similar. Well, that’s my theory.

NOTE: If you chose “Follow Chapur” in stage 2-2 and “Stubbornly Resist” in this stage, the stage will end here, and the chapter 2-5 will be unlocked.

NOTE 2: If you chose “Follow the Prime Minister” in stage 2-2 and “Stubbornly Resist” in this stage, this will lead to another bad ending which you can see below.

NOTE: This branching of the story (“Follow the Prime Minister” -> “Stubbornly Resist”) will lead to a bad ending.

Gina is hopeless, and this time around Chapur’s face remains calm because if Gina went after the Prime Minister, Chapur would never encounter Light. Unable to resist his spell Gina will give him the Lamp and it will lead to another bad ending.

The story continues sometime later (days or weeks) with Gina waking up during the stormy night and hearing shouting in the streets.

Well, that brings us to the end of the stage 2-4. As I already mentioned, Gina probably traveled to the past and met with Light when he was still human. Also, we can probably assume that Light is actually Kahir’s ancestor. This would explain his strange reaction to the flawless ruby on Kahir’s scimitar (the ruby was in possession of the Fatih family for generations). Besides that, Sinbad said that Kahir and Light are very similar. Well, that’s my theory. If this theory is true, in the next stage (2-5) we might discover what happened to Light, and how he became a Genie…
