Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Queen Marie Chapter 1 Stage 10 of Dress up Time Princess. Last time, you learned at the last minute that your opera performance was canceled, so you went to the King to see what happened. You found out that the jeweler Bohmer supposedly sold the diamond necklace to Cardinal Rohan once he received a letter from you stating that you’re interested in buying the necklace. However, you certainly did not write any such letter, so you tried your best to defend yourself. In the end, the King decided to seek out the whole truth and find out what really happened. Now, both of you will pay a visit to Cardinal Rohan and hear his side of the story. The stage window will display all the relevant information. Hit Start when you are ready to begin.
Upon returning to your room, Gabrielle will notice that you’re nervous. She’ll gaze at you with a worrying look and ask if you’re all right. You’ll reassure her that everything is fine before opening the wardrobe to look for a suitable outfit for visiting the Cardinal.
For this occasion, you should look for the clothes and accessories with Formal and Gentle tags.
Gabrielle will commend your outfit choice before you leave the room to meet with the King. You will thank her for being so kind and once again tell her not to worry.
Once you step into the church, you will spot the Cardinal facing away from you. Once he notices you, he will politely welcome you into the house of God. Louis XVI will quickly get to the point and ask him about the necklace.
You will instantly notice the change of Cardinal’s expression the moment the necklace gets mentioned. He will say that he heard about Queen wanting to buy the necklace but was unable to do so, which is why she asked a friend to ask him to approach the merchant. Cardinal Rohan will also say he did so in order to win the Queen’s favor.
He will apologize to the King for not informing him about this. You will recall hearing the words “a most precious gift” before. Suddenly, you will remember the secret meeting between a man and a woman in the garden. You will recall hearing those exact words being spoken by the mysterious man.
Could it be that the Cardinal was the man who was meeting this “Queen” in the garden? And who is the person behind this whole scheme? You will ask yourself these questions repeatedly in your head, but you won’t be certain about the answers. Someone is definitely trying to set you up, but you won’t know who.
The King will notice that you are deeply in thoughts about something, and will ask if you have something to say. You will then ask Cardinal Rohan about this friend of yours he mentioned. He will say it was Madame Jeanne who informed him about you wanting to buy the necklace.
You will quickly state you don’t have any friend named Jeanne. The Cardinal will start panicking upon hearing this. Louis XVI will try calming him down. Apparently, someone has made a pawn out of him. He will quickly mention the letter that was written by you.
Shortly after, he will return with the letter and give it to the King. Louis XVI will carefully examine the content of the letter, and after a while, he will hand it over to you.
After reading it, you will turn to your husband and ask if he thinks you wrote the letter. He will calmly say he knows your handwriting very well and this letter was definitely not written by you. He will also point out one obvious mistake that was made by whoever wrote the letter.
Cardinal Rohan will realize that he has been deceived by Jeanne, and you will notice that he’s getting increasingly nervous. Once you tell him you never received the necklace, he will start apologizing and ask the King to understand him.
Louis XVI will remind him of the severity of this whole situation. Cardinal Rohan will panic once again, and he will start praying frantically. The King will add that this could affect not just your reputation, but the reputation of the entire royal family.

He will then decide to detain the Cardinal. Needless to say, his cousin will beg him not to do that, but Louis XVI will ignore his pleads and lead you out of the church. Once you get back to Versailles, he will inform Blaisdell about the recent events before taking you to his study.
The King will say he understands you’re the victim in this whole situation. However, he will point out that making this whole matter public would harm both the royal family and the church. Upon asking him how does he wish to handle the matter, Louis XVI will say that he would prefer settling it privately with the merchant.
He will ask if you agree to his proposition. You will think for a while and consider your options. If you agree to this, it may permanently ruin your reputation. On the other hand, if you disagree, it would be a disgrace to the royal family and the aristocrats, and they would all hate you for it. Finding Jeanne is probably the only way to solve this whole mess. After thinking for a while, you will give the King your answer.
If you agree, Louis XVI will be delighted and you will gain some Goodwill with him. He will try to explain how important it is to maintain the royal reputation, and he will reassure you that Blaisdell will handle the matter adequately. Also, picking this choice will unlock Stage 1-11 upon completing the stage.
You will tell the king you have a few small requests. He will happily hear you out. Your first request will be to have Jeanne apprehended as soon as possible. You will also mention that she likely has another woman as her accomplice, and catching them might be the key to finding out the truth. You will then show the King the watch you found the other night in the gardens.
Louis XVI will agree to your requests and say that he will make sure Blaisdell handles the matter in the way you suggested. He will also let you handle all the people involved in this. You will nod in agreement. He will once again thank you for being reasonable enough to see the bigger picture.
If you chose to disagree with the King, you will politely ask him to forgive you for it. He will assume this is because the Cardinal has insulted your mother before, but you will say that is not the only reason. You’ll also add that Jeanne has most likely gone into hiding. Picking this choice will unlock Stage 1-13 upon completing the stage.
After a brief moment of silence, Louis XVI will agree to let you investigate the matter with the help of Blaisdell and Lafayette. However, this matter is very complicated, and Jeanne is a shrewd woman, and she won’t be easy to apprehend. Thankfully, the King has someone who can help you with this. You will curiously ask whom he’s referring to.
