Queen Marie Chapter 1 Stage 3
Complete Walkthrough
Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Queen Marie Chapter 1 Stage 3 of Dress up Time Princess. Last time, you met with Gabrielle, who is Marie Antoinette’s closest and most trusted friend. You had some nice chat with her and she even made you some delicious pastries. You also had the “pleasure” of meeting Madame Adelaide, daughter of Louis XV and the aunt of Louis XVI. You learned that she isn’t very fond of neither Marie nor Gabrielle, and she openly used every opportunity to abuse Gabrielle. You had the chance to stand up to her and defend your dear friend, which earned you some Goodwill with Gabrielle. Now is the time to continue the story. The stage window will display the clothing tags requirement as well as the rewards and the short description. Hit Start when you are ready to begin.
Gentle beams of sunlight will wake you up accompanied by the scent of flowers, white roses in particular. It is an amazing start of a brand new day. You will be surprised to see the gorgeous white roses piled up all around your bed. Upon taking a closer look, you will notice a wine-red envelope with a silver seal lying atop the roses. After picking it up, you will quickly realize who sent you the flowers. It was Count Axel von Fersen, who came to France all the way from Sweden and met Marie at a costume ball. You will swiftly open up the envelope, and read the message.
By the looks of it, Count Fersen deeply cares for Marie, and he doesn’t hide his affection for her. Like Lafayette, he took part in the war in America, but he is longing to return and meet Marie once again. Recalling these memories will add Fersen to Companions.
Suddenly, Gabrielle will enter the room, and she’ll notice you blushing. Immediately, she’ll know who you’re thinking of, and she’ll inform you that Count Fersen should be back very soon. She’ll mention that the banquet welcoming the war heroes should be held in a few days, and that’s where you’ll get the chance to see Fersen again.
Gabrielle will also tell you that the jeweler named Bohmer wants to see you. Apparently, he has arrived with a very special necklace and he wants to present it to you. You’ll eagerly decide to meet with the jeweler and see the necklace. However, before that, you’ll need to get into a more appropriate outfit. Gabrielle will then hand you some jewelry. Both of these items will have Formal and Gentle tags, which are needed for this stage.
While in the dressing room, use the search function to look for Formal and Gentle items, and make sure to use them for the occasion.
Not long after you’re done dressing up, you’ll meet up with the jeweler Bohmer and he will present you the necklace. According to him, this necklace took 2 years to craft, and it was made from over 600 diamonds. You’ll be able to take a good look at it.
Needless to say, you’ll be astounded by the remarkable beauty of this piece of jewelry. Gabrielle will say that you are the only person beautiful enough to wear it. She’ll also mention that the necklace was commissioned by Louis XV for Madame du Barry. Bohmer will confirm it, and he will say that the necklace can be yours for “only” 1,600,000 livres.
Unfortunately, this price is ridiculously high, and you will quickly realize that it is most likely out of your reach. You will then get to choose whether or not you want to buy the necklace. This is a very important choice. Choosing to buy the necklace will lead to one of the bad endings, and it is not recommended to pick that option.
Refuse to Buy
Picking the option to buy the necklace will grant you the achievement, and since you can replay the stage later on, you might want to choose this option.
This will quickly lead to one of the first endings, and you will need to replay the stage in order to progress through the rest of the story.

If you refuse to buy the necklace, you will think for a while and realize that purchasing this item will more than likely have disastrous consequences, and you’ll simply say that you cannot afford it. After all, you’ll need to do whatever it takes to avoid the dreadful fate that befell Marie Antoinette.

Bohmer will once again try to convince you to purchase the necklace, and you will be unsure what to do. Gabrielle will also say that the necklace would look lovely on you, which will make the decision even more difficult for you. Bohmer will present a solution. He will say that you can pay for the necklace in installments. You will once again consider your options before making a decision.
Don't Buy
Choosing to pay in installments will once again lead to the bad ending, and you’ll need to replay the stage to further progress the story.

If you choose to borrow money in order to buy the necklace, you will be presented with two options. You can either ask your husband, Louis XVI or Gabrielle for a loan.
Gabrielle
If you decide to ask Louis XVI for a loan, you will quickly rush to his study to inform him about the necklace. This will also add Louis XVI to Companions. He’ll be surprised to see you in his study, and he’ll be curious if you wanted to have afternoon tea with him.

You’ll quickly get to the point and explain that you need 1,000,000 livres to buy the necklace. After thinking for a while, the King will decide to grant your request and get you the money for the necklace. Unfortunately, this will also lead to one of the bad endings, but at least this way, you will be able to unlock Louis XVI as a Companion.

On the other hand, if you choose to ask Gabrielle to lend you the money, she will be shocked by your request. After all, she only gets 20,000 livres a year, and she doesn’t have the amount of money you need. However, after noticing the sad look on your face, Gabrielle will tell you she’ll find a way to help you.
The day after, a courier from Gabrielle will arrive with 1,000,000 livres. Unfortunately, your friend will not return. Even after sending people to find her, you won’t be able to locate her. Needless to say, you’ll be overwhelmed by the feelings of guilt and regret and this will lead to another bad ending.

Lastly, if you remain determined to refuse Bohmer’s offer, you will simply tell him that you cannot afford the necklace and that your decision is final. The jeweler will be disappointed, but he’ll tell you that you can contact him again if you change your mind.
Once he leaves, Gabrielle will be shocked by your decision and she will gaze at you with a confused look. You will explain to her that buying the necklace would only bring trouble, and given that people of France aren’t exactly too fond of you, this would’ve given them another reason to dislike you.
Your dear friend will say some much-needed words of encouragement. You’ll ask if she’ll be willing to help you change things, and without hesitation, Gabrielle will give you a positive answer.
Her kindness will warm your heart, and you will thank her for being such a good and loyal friend. Shortly after, Gabrielle will remind you of the banquet that will be held in just a few days and she’ll ask if you decided what to wear on that day. Since you haven’t given it much thought, you’ll be a bit uncertain about it, but Gabrielle will say that Leonard will likely be able to help you with your outfit and accessories.
