Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Queen Marie Chapter 2 Stage 11 of Dress up Time Princess. During the previous stage, you had the meeting with the King in his study and learned that the nobles who were opposing the tax reform have banded together to rebel against the throne. You discussed how to deal with the situation, but unfortunately, you couldn’t come up with a solution. You decided that the best way to handle things would be to wait for a while and let them make the next move. After the meeting, you went to the garden to take some fresh air and clear your mind, and there you met the person dear to your heart. You talked for a while, and he made an oath that he would always protect you and stand by your side forever. This helped you calm down and forget about the things that were troubling you, at least for a while. Now is the time to think of a way to deal with the problems. The stage window will display the requirements, a short description, and the rewards. Hit Start when you are ready to begin.
Ever since the meeting, you will just receive one bad news after another. People will be promoting the constitutional monarchy in the streets, and unfortunately, the King won’t be able to do much about it.
There will be rumors going about some of the nobles panicking and secretly transferring their assets. Also, the ideas of liberalism will be spreading fast, not only in France, but in other countries as well, which will make things even more complicated.
As the rumors continue spreading, the atmosphere in Versailles will change significantly. You will feel the tension radiating from nearly everyone you meet, and you’ll know that something has to be done. You will spend many sleepless nights asking yourself if there is anything else you can do to make things better.
You will go through all of the options, and eventually, you will consider giving the people the constitutional monarchy. Perhaps that way, you could ensure the survival of the royal family. Still, convincing the King to willingly give up his power won’t be an easy task.
After spending a lot of time thinking about the best way to approach the situation, you will go directly to the King and tell him about your idea. Needless to say, he will be shocked to hear it.
You will try telling him that the wave of liberalism is spreading fast through Europe, and if he willingly gives up the power before the people start rebelling, he might be able to avoid a disaster.
Louis XVI will think for a while and carefully consider everything you said. After a moment of silence, he will tell you he understands why you are worried. He’ll also acknowledge that some countries function well under a liberal system. However, he will point out that it isn’t the tradition of the House of Bourbon.
The King will say that he won’t be able to face his ancestors should he accept this system. You will understand his frustration and the position he’s put in.
Louis XVI will think if there’s any way to win the people over. Both of you have tried to do that numerous times, but you haven’t had much success. You will know how hard it is to fight against the whole world, but despite everything, you won’t accept defeat so easily, and you will encourage the King not to give up.
He will ask if you would still advise him the same even if everything fails again. You will nod and say that even if everyone else abandons him, you would still stay by his side.
The King will smile at you and say he knows you are only trying to do what’s best for him, but he will need some time to consider everything. You’ll smile back at him and say that you are happy with that.
You will then suggest going out and talking to people. Maybe that way, you will be able to understand why they are so unhappy with the current situation. Louis XVI will be strictly against that idea.
You’ll tell him you plan on changing your clothes to avoid getting recognized. Still, he won’t be willing to just let you go alone in public and will insist that you take someone to accompany you. You can choose if you want to accept this or not.
If you choose to accept the King’s proposition, you’ll suggest having Count Fersen or Marquis de Lafayette accompany you. Louis XVI will be against this idea since any of them would more than likely draw too much attention. You will gain some Goodwill with the King for picking this option.
If you choose to reject the King’s proposition, you will try to explain that having someone accompany you would make it more difficult for you to move around unnoticed. Sadly, you won’t be able to convince the King to let you go alone. You will lose some Goodwill with him for picking this option.
You’ll realize there is no point to argue about it, so you’ll agree to have someone come with you. The King will smile at you and thank you for understanding his concern.
He will then ask you to rest in your room while he arranges for someone to escort you. Shortly after, you will return to your chambers to change into light and simple clothing.
For this occasion, you should pick the clothes and accessories with Simple and Warm tags.
After dressing up, you won’t have to wait for too long for your escort. Apparently, the King arranged for d’Eon to accompany you and protect you from any harm that might come your way.
d’Eon will say he understands your worries and concerns, and he will tell you to keep on smiling, no matter how dangerous the situation is. You will thank him for his advice.
He will point out that you should get going if you are to return before nightfall. You’ll nod and ask him to lead the way. Moments later, both of you will get into the carriage.
On your way, you will pass by a small village near Versailles. Despite being close to Paris, the village will look very gloomy and poor. Many of the villagers will look very thin, and you will realize that most of them have likely been starving lately because of the bad harvest.
Some of the villagers will notice you looking at them through the window of the carriage, and will ask you to give them some money.
One commoner girl will say that you look just as beautiful as the Queen. Another commoner will say that the Queen’s obsession with jewelry is the reason they have a mountain of taxes to pay. Commoner Girl will be quick to defend the Queen.
Moments later, d’Eon will ask you to draw the curtains. You will notice that he is genuinely concerned about your wellbeing, so you will nod your head in agreement.
After drawing the curtains, you will close your eyes and try to get some rest. Sadly, the conversation between the commoners will repeatedly play in your mind, and you will realize that no matter what you do, there will always be those who don’t believe in you.
Still, as long as some people have faith in you, there is hope. And this hope is exactly what will keep you going and motivate you to try your best.

After some time, you will arrive at a small alley near the Bastille. While standing in a shadowy corner, you will hear the conversation of some people gathered nearby. One young man will be unsure if they should be rebelling against the royal family, especially with the recent turn of events and the introduction of the tax reform.
The older man will tell him that they’ve been spending their money on taxes far too long, and he will want to know why the other one is defending the royal family. The young man will try to explain that people have been paying taxes for centuries, and he won’t see anything bad in that.
The older man will point out that when there is a good King, they can live decently. However, if the King is foolish and useless, they will be forced to pay higher taxes and literally starve to death.
He will add that the Queen has changed for the better recently, but no one can guarantee them she will stay that way. One woman will ask if that’s the reason they want to implement the change.
The man will nod his head and say that the people should be the ones to decide about laws and taxes. That way, they won’t have to throw themselves at the mercy of the royal family and the nobles. He’ll also say that they need to change their fate, and they won’t ever do that if the laws change every time someone new gets on the throne.
You will notice that the man speaks with a voice full of determination, and his words will heavily affect the people around him. He will then say that they should elect their own committee, and have the royal family give up their power.
One woman will be uncertain if they will be able to pull it off. Another one will say that they have to band together if they are to succeed. Many people will nod in agreement, and some of them will even start to clap.
You will notice that they are getting louder and louder. Their voices will be filled with anger and determination, and d’Eon will quickly ask you to follow him before anyone notices you. Both of you will swiftly sneak away.
You will return back to the palace shortly before nightfall. Just as you’re about to rush to see the King and inform him about everything you’ve heard, you will learn that civilians have charged into the Bastille.
This will mark the end of Queen Marie Chapter 2 Stage 11. You will receive the rewards for completing the stage.
