Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Queen Marie Chapter 2 Stage 17 of Dress up Time Princess. Previously, while waiting for Count Marenzi to come back, you were visited by Blaisdell, who told you that his goal is to ensure the survival of the royal family. Since both the King and you were placed in a very difficult situation, he decided to cooperate with Count Marenzi with the goal of getting both of you out of the country. You realized that you had little choice in the matter, and after arguing with Blaisdell for a while, you agreed to follow his plan. Also, he asked you to choose a trustworthy person to act as a courier and deliver a message to Austria. Both Fersen and Lafayette instantly came to mind, and you had to pick one of them. Now is the time to prepare to leave France and head into the new future. The stage window will display the requirements, a short description, and the rewards. Hit Start when you are ready to begin.
During the next few days, the situation will get worse and worse. The revolutionaries will get louder by the day, and the people will be holding anti-royalty speeches everywhere. You will start worrying about what might happen.
Sadly, you’ve already done everything in your power to help the people of France. Unfortunately, most of your efforts have gone unnoticed, and there is little you can do to make things better. Hopefully, Count Marenzi will soon come back from Austria with good news.
This time, you will have some luck as Marenzi will return at dawn. You will quickly get changed and rush to meet with him. As soon as he sees you, he’ll say he’s glad everything is going according to plan.
You will also say you are glad he’s all right. The following part of the story will differ, based on your decision during Stage 2-16. You will ask Marenzi about the person you chose to be the courier. Thankfully, he’s talking with the King, so there’s nothing to worry about. You’ll sigh in relief, knowing that everything is all right.
Marenzi will point out that your life is much more valuable than his. He’ll add that even the one you chose as a courier agrees with him. He will say he’s hopeful that Leopold II will help bring a better future for France.
Count Marenzi will take an item out of his pocket and hand it to you. You will notice it’s a well-kept rosary. You will instantly recognize it as Queen Theresa’s rosary. This will unlock “The Rosary” achievement.
Count Marenzi will say that Queen Theresa left the rosary to Leopold II upon her death, and he wanted you to have it. According to Marenzi, your brother has sworn an oath upon the Queen’s name, and this rosary represents his promise to you and hopes that you will believe in him. You will be slightly worried about this, and you’ll ask Marenzi if anything happened.
You will notice a look of hesitation on his face, and realize that something’s going on. You will calmly ask him to tell you what happened. He’ll take a look at you and say that the revolutionaries are gaining influence much faster than expected. Still, Leopold II and Prussia have agreed not to send their troops for now.
You will be glad to hear that. Thankfully, your brother didn’t recklessly rush into a war, which will give you hope. You will smile and say you support this decision. Marenzi will tell you that Leopold II wants to wait until the time is right, which will hopefully minimize losses on both sides.
If you chose Fersen during Stage 2-16, Count Marenzi will tell you that Leopold II wanted to move you into the country for protection, but Count Fersen was strongly against it.
He’ll say that Leopold II has agreed to have his troops escort you to Sweden to seek political asylum. You will be curious why he agreed to it, and even more curious why Sweden is willing to provide you with political asylum.
You will be curious to know what Fersen did to convince them to agree to his proposal. Marenzi will say he is unsure about it, but he’ll tell you that Fersen had a private discussion with Leopold II, and he also managed to persuade his homeland to provide political asylum for the royal family. Still, such favors don’t come for free, and you will hope that Fersen didn’t do anything foolish.
Count Marenzi will say that Fersen may be young, but he most likely didn’t do anything he might regret later, especially since he still wants to continue protecting you and stay by your side.
If you chose Lafayette during Stage 2-16, Count Marenzi will tell you that your brother wanted to move you into Austria for protection, but Marquis de Lafayette was strongly against it.
Apparently, Leopold II agreed to have his troops escort you to America to seek political asylum. You’ll thank Marenzi for everything he’s done for you. He will point out that you should be thanking Marquis de Lafayette since he was the one who suggested this.
This is all thanks to the King’s decision to send his troops to aid in the American Revolutionary War. Also, since Lafayette was the hero of that war, America agreed to provide political asylum for the royal family. You will hope that Lafayette hasn’t sacrificed anything to achieve this.
You’ll also say that you are glad to be surrounded by so many good people. Count Marenzi will look down, and he won’t reply to you immediately. After a while, he’ll look at you, and you will notice the tears in his eyes.
He will tell you he is ashamed since he betrayed your trust, and you are still concerned about him. He will say that you are incredibly kind, and he’ll be sorry that the people of France cannot see that.
He will bow before you and say that he only wishes to fulfill his task. Once he’s done with that, he’ll accept any punishment you see fit for him.
You will recall the day you found out that Blaisdell and Marenzi made plans behind your back, and you’ll remember how angry you were about it. Still, he only did this for your sake, and he even risked his life to protect you. You simply won’t be able to blame him for what he did.
You will look at Marenzi and order him to treasure his life. Before he gets the chance to say anything, you will insist that he agrees to this. You will point out that Queen Theresa wouldn’t want anything bad to happen to him, despite tasking him to look after you.
Count Marenzi will say he remembers the words Queen Theresa said to him before sending him to escort you to France. He will repeat those words to you.
He’ll also say that your mother felt bad about sending you to France at such a young age, which is why she kept reminding Marenzi to protect you. He’ll say that there was not a single day she wasn’t thinking about you.
After a short while, you will ask him about the plan to leave France. He will say that there are some matters he and the person you chose have to handle, which is why they won’t be able to go with you.
However, the carriage and the guards have been arranged, and they were personally selected by Marquis de Lafayette and Count Fersen, so you shouldn’t worry about that. Marenzi will ask you to keep the rosary with you since you’ll need it to gain aid from the Austrian soldiers.
You will thank Marenzi for everything and ask if you will be leaving France soon. He will point out that the situation is worsening every day, which is why the King and you should be leaving as soon as the night falls.

Once Count Marenzi leaves the palace, you will start preparing for the journey. This time, you should pick clothes and accessories with Formal and Warm tags.
As soon as the night falls, the King and you will enter the carriage and quietly leave Tuileries. While traveling, you will look at the streets of Paris, and the emotions will start overwhelming you.
The King will notice you are visibly upset, and he’ll try to calm you down. He’ll point out that all that matters to him now is the safety of the people he cares about, especially you.
There are two options to reply with. You can either choose to be optimistic or pessimistic about your current situation.
If you choose to be optimistic, you will tell the King you believe everything will be all right, as long as you can arrive at your destination safely. This will be enough to put a smile on his face and he will be hopeful about the future.
If you decide to be pessimistic, you will look down and say you only hope that the two of you can escape the country with your lives. You’ll notice a worried look on the King’s face, but he won’t say anything about it.
You will spend some time in silence as the carriage slowly leaves the place you used to call home. You will be unsure what the future has in store for both of you.
