Queen Marie Chapter 2 Stage 22
Complete Walkthrough
Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Queen Marie Chapter 2 Stage 22 of Dress up Time Princess. During the previous stage, d’Eon took the King and you to a tavern located in one of the secluded alleys in Paris. There, you met with Lafayette, and after talking to him, all of you went to one of d’Eon’s hideouts. After discussing the current situation, you decided that the best course of action would be leaving for America. As for the plan itself, d’Eon will go ahead and make sure there’s a ship waiting for you once you arrive at the port. From there on, you will sail to America, where you’ll get the chance to start life anew. Now is the time to begin this journey. The stage window will display the requirements, a short description, and the rewards. Hit Start when you are ready to begin.
After traveling for a while, you will suddenly wake up to a violent jerking. After composing yourself, you will look around and notice Lafayette trying to console the King. You will quickly learn that one of the carriage wheels has been damaged.
Louis XVI will ask Lafayette if he has any experience with fixing carriage wheels. Unfortunately, the Marquis will admit he possesses no such skills. The King will smile and decide to go out of the carriage to try and fix the damaged wheel.
Lafayette will stand there confused for a moment, unsure if he should stop him or not. Before he does anything, you will tell him to let the King do his work. After all, you know very well how skilled Louis XVI is when it comes to fixing things.
Unfortunately, Lafayette is completely unaware of that, and he will be confused by the whole situation. He will point out it is highly unlikely that the King could possess a skillset to repair a carriage wheel. Understandably, you were the only one who knew about the King’s secret passion, so there’s no wonder why the poor Marquis is confused about it.
You will smile at him and tell him that everyone has their interests, even the Kings and Queens. You’ll ask if he has some of his own hobbies. He will nod and say that even he has some of those, but given the King’s status, he could’ve easily lived a more carefree life.
Both of you will take a look at Louis XVI, who will kneel on the ground and examine the structure of the carriage wheel. Lafayette will point out that he looks extremely happy doing that, much happier in fact than he ever saw him before.
You will nod and take notice that the King is very focused on the task. You’ll turn to Lafayette and ask him if he ever forced himself to do any of the things he’s done. He’ll be stunned by your question for a moment, and after considering it for a while, he will give you an honest answer.
He will say that he’d rather see the people live ideal lives, which is one of the reasons why he decided to sign up for the military. His personal dreams were always less important than seeing the people happy and France prospering. He’ll tell you that the Kind pretty much did the same, but given that he’s the ruler of the country, everyone always expected perfection from him.
Shortly after, Louis XVI will turn to you and cheerfully say that he fixed the carriage wheel. Lafayette will take a look at it, and he will be astounded by the results. He will praise the King’s work, and he’ll be impressed by the way he fixed the wheel.
Louis XVI will happily say that he will handle any kind of problem of the sort if it happens again. Lafayette will ask both of you to return to the carriage so that you could continue your journey. You will nod and quickly hop in.
You will continue traveling along the road, and the ride will be shaky and bumpy. Lafayette will try his best to keep the reins steady and control the carriage as best as he can. He’ll ask you to bear with it for a while longer until you pass that section of the road.
The King will ask him to focus on driving. Just as you were about to tell him you are all right, someone will dash across the road. One of the horses will hit the person, and the whole carriage will shake violently. Lafayette will explain to you what happened.
The King will ask if the woman is alive. The Marquis will tell him that she seems conscious, but she might die if left abandoned on the road. He will think for a while about the best course of action. The King will notice that he is deep in thought and say that the woman must be saved.
Lafayette will warn Louis XVI that you are still relatively close to town, and none of you want to be recognized, especially since the woman’s screams may have attracted some attention. In the end, the King will turn to you and ask for advice.
You can choose whether you want to stop the King from saving the woman or not. You will think for a while before making a decision.
Stop himIf you choose to stop the King, you will say that you want to save the woman, but unfortunately, your situation doesn’t allow it. In other words, you need to escape France while you still have the chance. Picking this option will grant you some Goodwill with Lafayette.
Eventually, both the King and Lafayette will nod their heads in agreement. In the end, Louis XVI will give the order to move on. He will admit he wanted to try his best to save the woman, but he realized he cannot sacrifice everyone’s safety for that.
Back to Previous ChoiceIf you decide not to stop the King, you will admit that you cannot simply abandon the woman in need of help. Doing so would go against everything you believe, and you wouldn’t be able to sleep at night. Choosing this option will grant you some Goodwill with Louis XVI.
Both Lafayette and the King will look at you and nod their heads. Shortly after, Louis XVI will suggest helping the injured woman as soon as possible. Lafayette will quickly decide to see if there’s anything he can do to help her.
Back to Previous ChoiceMoments later, you will hear the sound of horses behind you. You will realize that someone is approaching, and you’ll ask the King what to do. He will sternly decide to leave the place before it’s too late.
Unfortunately, the riders will catch up with you and start surrounding you. One of them will begin banging on the carriage door and demand for you to step out of it. Lafayette will ask both of you to stay inside while he deals with the people.
You will advise him not to do so since there’s no telling if they will recognize him or not. You will think for a while and consider the alternative. The only other option would involve having him kill all those people. Needless to say, Lafayette would definitely be against that option, and so would you.
Once again, the people outside the carriage will start yelling for you to exit. The King will shake his head and ask you to follow his plan. He will gently pat both Lafayette and you on the shoulders and suddenly open the door. Before exiting the carriage, he will look at you once again and order you to live on.
He’ll then face the people and start apologizing for being careless. Shortly after, you will realize that he’s trying to lead them away from the carriage. You will look at Lafayette as he tightly grips the reins and asks you to sit tight. He will use the opportunity to get the two of you out of there.
As you’ll be leaving the scene, you will take another look through the window and notice the people furiously yelling at the King. Some of them will prepare to go after you but will stop as he tells them something. Lafayette will ask you to stop looking, for the sake of the King’s dignity. Your heart will start beating loudly and you will be unable to suppress the surge of emotions flowing through you.
You will ask Lafayette if he is afraid since there’s no telling what might happen. He will admit he was afraid ever since the start of the rebellion. He will also say he is afraid he might lose you. You will realize he no longer has that aura of sternness around him, and this will be the first time you will see him vulnerable.
You will think of the appropriate words to say… the words that would reassure him. After thinking for a moment, you will finally speak up. This choice will drastically change the outcome of the story.
I'll never leave youIf you tell Lafayette you will never leave him, you’ll try your best to uplift his spirit and convince him to live on with you. In the end, he will agree. After all, as long as you live, there will be hope for France.
After traveling for several days, you will finally reach the harbor. You will immediately decide to head to the meeting spot and find d’Eon. Luckily, as soon as you arrive, d’Eon will cheerfully knock on the carriage door.
Unfortunately, his happiness will be short-lived, and as soon as he notices that the King is not with you, he will demand answers from Lafayette. Sadly, the Marquis won’t be able to answer his question, and you will notice d’Eon getting upset.
You will try to defend Lafayette, but he stop you and decide to speak for himself. He’ll say that he should be the one to bear the blame since it was his responsibility to protect the King. Once again, d’Eon will start getting nervous while waiting for his explanation. His words will send a cold shiver down your spine.
Lafayette will start explaining and say that you accidentally knocked down a woman who dashed across the road. He’ll continue and say that the townsfolk surrounded the carriage and demanded justice for the injured woman. Because of that, the King decided to sacrifice himself so that the two of you could escape.
Suffice to say, d’Eon will heavily criticize the Marquis for letting the King sacrifice himself. You will notice a lot of pain in Lafayette’s eyes, but he will somehow maintain his usual sternness and say that he followed the King’s order to live on and protect the Queen.
All of that will sound like an excuse to d’Eon, and before long, his sword tip will be resting against Lafayette’s neck. The Marquis will tell him he cannot die because the King ordered him to live on. You will take another look and notice his sword resting against d’Eon’s chest. Lafayette will ask him to make a wise choice since he is the one the King trusts the most.
After a short while, d’Eon will let go of his weapon and start smiling again. He will ask the two of you to board the ship while he goes back to protect the King. He will allow Lafayette to carry out the last order Louis XVI gave him.
He’ll then point to the back of the harbor, and instruct you on some things you should remember. You will wonder what he will do in case he doesn’t manage to find the King. d’Eon will calmly say that he lives to serve the King, which will pretty much answer your question.
He’ll ask you not to worry about him. If he manages to find the King, he will eventually meet with you one day. Not long after that, he will leave the harbor and head towards the place where you last saw the King.
Lafayette will remind you that there’s a long journey ahead, and before long, the two of you will board the ship to America. You will find it hard to believe that you’ve finally managed to leave the country.
Lafayette will smile gently and say that no one will ever harm you again once you reach your destination. You will remember all of the sacrifices that had to be made in order to ensure your safety. You’ll ask him if there’s any chance you will ever return to France again.
Lafayette won’t be too certain about it, but he will hope that you’ll be able to start your life anew in America. You will wonder if you’ll ever be able to forget about your past. Despite not being in France for long, you were able to experience so many things. Some of those were good, some were bad, some were joyful, some were sad… and the whole experience changed you as a person.
After thinking about everything that happened over the past several days, the emotions will get the better of you, and the tears will slowly start running down your cheeks. You will apologize to Lafayette for crying, but he won’t seem to mind it.
He will gently place his hand on your shoulder and tell you it is all right not to forget everything. At that moment, you will let the emotions overflow you, and release everything out. You won’t care about the other people seeing you, and Lafayette’s support will greatly comfort you.
You will tell him that once you reach America, you will no longer be Queen Marie. Still, he will be determined to stay by your side no matter what. You will thank him for being so supportive and caring.
You’ll then gaze into the distance while the ship sails away from the shore of the place that used to be your home. Thankfully, you will have each other to overcome any obstacle that comes your way and start a bright new future. After a while, you will ask Lafayette to stop being so formal with you. You will look at him and tell him your name… your real name.
He will nod quietly and ask you to call him Gilbert. You will stay by each other’s side for a while longer and gaze into the ocean as you sail into the new future… a future full of hope.
With this, you will obtain one of the endings of Queen Marie story. You will earn the achievement for obtaining the ending.

If you decide to tell Lafayette you will do your best to live on, you’ll make a promise to him. He’ll ask if that means you will still do the same without him by your side. You will think for a while and reluctantly say yes.
Lafayette will ask you to hold to that promise, and he will sound very relieved. You’ll quickly realize that he is preparing for the worst. You will pray for his wellbeing as well as the wellbeing of everyone in France.
After traveling for several days, you will be able to smell the ocean spray in the air. While looking through the window, you will be able to see the ocean in the distance. Lafayette will inform you that d’Eon is already waiting for you at the harbor. He will suggest heading there immediately to meet up with him.
You will think about your situation for a while and decide to be a bit optimistic. After all, the King was only captured, so there is still hope of rescuing him. You’ll tell Lafayette that you need to inform d’Eon about what happened since he is the one who might be able to rescue the King.
Lafayette will simply say he hopes you are right. You will notice that he has changed significantly ever since you were separated from the King. He’ll be much quieter than usual, and you will realize he is probably blaming himself for everything that happened.
On top of that, he will look very exhausted, both physically and mentally, by the long journey. And losing the King only made things worse for him. You will try to think of a way to help him, but unfortunately, you won’t know what to do.
After reaching the meeting spot, you will hear a light tapping on the carriage door. Moments later, you will notice d’Eon smiling at you. Unfortunately, his smile will be short-lived, and his expression will completely change once he realizes that Louis XVI is not with you.

Lafayette will say there was nothing he could’ve done to help the King. He’ll also tell him about the order he was given.
You will say that the King is probably held captive by the revolutionaries, so saving him might still be possible. After taking a deep breath, d’Eon will turn to Lafayette and ask for his help with saving the King. He’ll also say that you should board the ship immediately and leave France as soon as possible.
Lafayette will consider things for a while, and upon noticing his internal struggle, d’Eon will remind him that he has no right to object. Eventually, the Marquis will agree to go with him and rescue the King from the revolutionaries.
He will look at you and say that he trusts d’Eon to deliver you safely to America. He’ll ask you to take care until they rescue the King. After that, they will be able to reunite with you.
You will stand there for a while, unable to say anything. d’Eon will notice that you are hesitant to agree to this, and he will urge you to board the ship. In the end, you will be unable to protest. Lafayette will wish you all the best before leaving with d’Eon. With a lot of pain in your heart, you will take another look at them walking away.
With the help of d’Eon’s contacts, you will be able to successfully reach America. Unfortunately, you will learn that both the King and Marquis de Lafayette have been captured and executed. After being pressured by the French government, America will decide to stop offering you political asylum.
Not long after that, you will be sent back to France, and the angry civilians will quickly take you to the execution block. You will take one last look at the crowd and calmly say your final farewell.
