Shadows of London Stage 1-7
Complete Walkthrough
Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Shadows of London Stage 1-7 of Dress up Time Princess. Last time, you went on a date with Jesse Lindvall. While you expected it to be just a visit to the art gallery, you ended up going to the Eastern District instead. Along the way, you learned some things about Jesse, and you also shared parts of your background. Upon arriving in the Eastern District, Jesse suggested looking for the place where you used to live. You remembered it was near a warehouse, so the two of you looked around the district in search of your old home. Unfortunately, you weren’t able to find it, and after several hours of searching, you decided to head back. Along the way, you encountered a strange merchant, advertising the ‘miracle cure’ for the disease. He told you that the disease is a punishment from God, and only his cure can save the people. He also said that the afflicted are craving blood, attacking and biting other people, just like vampires. Shortly after, Vincent Savile showed up and he chased off the merchant, explaining that he’s just another trickster, trying to profit from the outbreak. You spent some time talking to Vincent, and then you went back home. Now is the time to continue where you left off. The stage window will display all the relevant information. Hit Start when you are ready to begin.
During the next few days, you will spend more time with Jesse, which will make your aunt very pleased. In order to encourage your relationship, she’ll arrange a special date for you and Jesse. She’ll explain that Bernard Erskine helped her get the tickets for The Ruby Opera House.
She’ll ask you to do your best not to waste her efforts. You’ll try explaining that Jesse and you are just friends. This will seem to work, and Madam Petit will decide not to nag you any further. She will only ask you to prepare for this special date.
For this occasion, you should wear clothes and accessories with Formal and Noble tags.
You will be overjoyed once you learn that the play you’ll be watching is “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. You’ll be able to remember your mother practicing some of the lines at home. Some of those lines will still resonate in your head.
Once you arrive at The Ruby Opera House, you will notice that all of the street lamps are already lit. Their light will illuminate the area, and even the puddles left behind the rain will glimmer in their light. You will spot plenty of carriages in front of the opera house.
After taking a look around, you will spot a familiar face – Doctor Edward Grey. You will approach and politely greet him. You’ll assume it was a coincidence to meet him outside of the opera house. Edward will explain that Jesse wasn’t feeling too well, so he asked him to come in his place and keep you company.
You will be concerned about Jesse’s health, and you’ll feel bad for taking his doctor away from him. Edward will smile and explain that Jesse simply needs some rest. He’ll then tell you that play is about to start, so the two of you will head inside the opera house.
Despite not being with Jesse, you will attract a lot of attention. Since many aristocrats know Doctor Grey, they will come to greet the two of you. You’ll remember your aunt’s lessons and try your best to display proper mannerisms. Edward will notice that you are a bit tense, so he’ll ask you to relax.
You will admit that you’ve never been to a theater before, so everything is new to you. Shortly after, the feeling of discomfort will disappear, and you will be fascinated by the play. You’ll remember that your mother used to be an actress, and you’ll try to imagine her on the stage.
You’ll take a look at Edward and notice that he’s very calm and nearly emotionless. He’ll simply focus on the play and not pay attention to much else. After a while, there’ll be a break between acts, and once the curtain falls, he will realize you are looking at him, so he’ll ask if something is wrong.
Given that he didn’t display any emotions during the play, you will ask if he disliked it. Edward will say that the story of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” is very beautiful and he’s certain that most people like it. He’ll go on and explain that he spends a lot of time doing medical research, which is why he has such a stern expression.
You’ll notice him smiling, so you will cheekily mention that he has a really kind smile on his face. You will hope that he will keep that smile on his face once the play resumes. Edward will promise to try his best to do that. He’ll point out there’s still time before the second half of the play starts, so he’ll ask if you want to go outside and get some fresh air.
You will gladly accept his proposition, and the two of you will head outside. Upon exiting the opera house, you will instantly feel the cold breeze. Edward will apologize for not thinking about it, and he’ll ask if you want to go back inside. You’ll smile at him and say that you don’t mind a bit of breeze.
Suddenly, a flower girl will approach and ask Edward to buy a flower for you. You’ll notice that she’s holding a bundle of red roses. He’ll nod and bend down to select a flower for you. The sight of red roses will instantly remind you of a lullaby your mother used to sing to you.
Edward will notice that something is wrong, so he’ll ask if you are all right. You’ll say that you’re fine and admit that you don’t really like red roses. Edward will give a penny to a flower girl and apologize to her. She’ll wink at you before running off after another couple.
Suddenly, you will hear a familiar voice calling your name. You’ll turn around and spot Vincent Savile standing nearby. His face will look very pale under the moonlight. You’ll quickly notice that he seems to be in good mood. You will politely greet him and ask if he is also there to watch “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”.
He will nod, saying it was Mr. Erskine who made it possible for him to watch the play. You’ll notice that he’s looking at Edward, so you will quickly introduce them. Upon hearing that Vincent is a poet, Doctor Grey will admit he doesn’t know much about poetry.
Vincent will say that he’s a relatively new poet and admit that his works aren’t really worth mentioning. He’ll go on and say that Edward, on the other hand, is very famous, and everyone is praising his medical skills.
Edward will feel flattered by his words and humbly say that he’s only fulfilling his duties as a doctor. The two of them will spend some time chatting. Vincent will then turn your way and ask if there’s something on your mind. He will easily be able to notice that something’s troubling you.
You’ll quickly make up an excuse and say that you were just thinking about some things regarding Shakespeare. Vincent will quote one of the famous lines from Hamlet.
You’ll say that you weren’t really thinking about something so serious, and you were only reminded of the past. Vincent will quickly notice that you are very familiar with Shakespeare’s works.
He will be curious to know which play is your favorite. You will think for a moment before answering his question.
The dramatic <Othello>If you tell Vincent “Othello” is your favorite play, he will be pleasantly surprised and say it is also the play he likes the most. He’ll admit he thought you’d choose a different play. Selecting this option will grant you some Goodwill with Vincent.
You’ll say that you like the other plays as well, but when it comes to characters, Othello left the biggest impression on you. Edward will also express his opinion and say what he thinks of Othello. He’ll point out that such a character would be very dangerous in real life.
Vincent will explain that people are very complicated. After all, you could never know what someone is thinking, and oftentimes, people hide their true selves from others. He’ll go on and say that life is never fully free of dramatic elements.
Back to Previous ChoiceIf you tell him that “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” is your favorite play, Vincent will say that a lot of young ladies like that play because it is a perfect mix of romance and humor. Picking this option will grant you some Goodwill with Edward.
You will say it’s not the only reason why you like “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. You’ll explain that you were moved by Hermia’s quest for freedom and her courage in defying the rules. Edward will notice that you are a very confident woman. He’ll say it’s no coincidence Jesse is constantly talking about you.
Upon hearing that, you will start blushing, so in order to hide the embarrassment, you will turn to Vincent and ask him about his favorite Shakespeare play. He’ll calmly say that “Othello” is the play he enjoys the most, and he’ll explain why that is the case.
Back to Previous ChoiceEdward will advise him to frequent the Ruby Opera House since “Othello” is one of their regular plays. He will praise the performance of the actress playing Desdemona and say she perfectly embodied the character.
Your conversation will attract the attention of an elderly man. He’ll approach and kindly greet Doctor Grey. Edward will introduce him to you and say that he’s the owner of The Ruby Opera House – George Johnson. He’ll be curious to know why Jesse is absent.
Edward will explain that his friend got sick and needs to rest at home. Mr. Johnson will wish Jesse a speedy recovery. He’ll then ask about Vincent and you. Doctor Grey will explain that you are Madam Petit’s niece, and say that Vincent is a poet. After hearing that, Mr. Johnson will say it’s no coincidence all of you are so familiar with the works of Shakespeare.
Vincent will politely say he is delighted to meet the owner of The Ruby Opera House. He’ll add that he’s been considering writing plays. Mr. Johnson will notice that all of you are very interested in plays, so he will offer to give you a tour of the backstage once the play ends.
He’ll also say that all of the backdrops and props they’ve used for the Shakespearean revival over the past 30 years are displayed there. Needless to say, you will be delighted to tour the backstage of the opera house. You will thank Mr. Johnson for inviting you.

Once the play ends, you’ll make your way to the showroom. Mr. Johnson will start introducing every prop displayed on a long table. He’ll show you King Lear’s scepter, Macbeth’s crown, and even Juliet’s poison flask, which was crafted during the Great Exhibition.
While gazing at the props, you will come across a painting leaning against the wall, covered by a white cloth. You’ll ask Mr. Johnson about it. He’ll explain it is not a prop, but a painting of Desdemona by an artist who admired her.
You will ask him if you could take a look at the painting. Mr. Johnson will nod and kindly say you are more than welcome to do so. You will gently remove the cloth from the painting and take a good look at it.
As soon as you lay your eyes on the painting, you will realize that the person you’re looking at is none other than your mother. You’ll say that you knew she was an actress, but you never imagined you will find a painting of her in the opera house.
Mr. Johnson will take a look at you and notice that you look very much like your mother. Since she passed away while you were little, you will ask him to tell you more about her time in the opera house. He’ll explain that your mother never had an official contract with the opera house. She was usually a last minute stand-in.
He will say that she was very talented, but unfortunately, she was always hard to find and very secretive. You’ll say that it’s likely due to her marriage to your father. Mr. Johnson will go on and say it was a mere coincidence she was cast as Desdemona. However, because of that role, she became a legend of the Ruby Opera House.
He’ll also say that your mother gained many admirers after her performance, including the artist who created the painting. Unfortunately, by the time the painting arrived, your mother had already vanished. He will continue and say that he hired people to look for her, but they were unable to locate her.
He only heard were some rumors about her going insane or dying of illness. He’ll ask if you know the reason why she disappeared without a word. You will try explaining that it was because your parents passed away, but the overwhelming surge of emotions will prevent the words from leaving your mouth.
Edward will notice that you are not feeling well, and he’ll tell you not to force yourself. He will even offer to leave and wait outside if that would help you calm down. You will say there’s no need for that. After taking a moment to compose yourself, you will explain that you lived with your parents in Saint George until they passed away from tuberculosis.
Mr. Johnson will say that back in the day, Saint George was very dangerous. The place was filthy and crammed, and there were plenty of thieves roaming the streets. On top of that, he’ll say there was an epidemic too. Without a doubt, it was not a good place for a delicate woman like your mother.
You will admit that you recently went to Saint George to look for your old home, but sadly, you were unable to find it. Mr. Johnson will say that the Eastern District went through a lot of changes, and only a few buildings remained the same.
Shortly after, you will bid each other goodbye, and Mr. Johnson will be very kind and give you the painting of your mother. Upon examining it, you will notice that the date on the back is 13 years old, which was the year your parents passed away.
Since your aunt’s plan was to have Jesse escort you back to her residence after the play, Edward will kindly offer to take you back. Upon exiting the opera house, you will part with Vincent, who will only gaze at you without saying anything.
This will mark the end of Shadows of London Stage 1-7 of Dress up Time Princess. You will receive rewards for completing the stage.
What will you do next? Will you muster the courage to confront your aunt and ask her about your parents’ deaths? Find out in the next stage.
