Shadows of London Stage 1-8
Complete Walkthrough
Hello everyone, welcome to our Walkthrough for Shadows of London Stage 1-8 of Dress up Time Princess. During the previous stage, you were supposed to go on a date with Jesse Lindvall to the opera house. Unfortunately, he wasn’t feeling very well, so he sent Edward to keep you company instead. During a break between the acts, the two of you went outside to catch some fresh air. There, you met Vincent Savile and learned that he also arrived to watch the play. You talked for a while about Shakespeare’s works, which drew the attention of George Johnson, the owner of the Ruby Opera House. He offered to give you a tour of the backstage, which you wholeheartedly accepted. After the play was over, you followed Mr. Johnson to the showroom, where he showed you various props used in plays. There, you noticed a painting of your mother and learned that she was incredibly famous while she was working as an actress. Before you left the opera house, Mr. Johnson decided to give you the painting. Now is the time to continue the story. The stage window will display the requirements, rewards, and a short description. Hit Start when you are ready to begin.
After returning from the opera house, you’ll hide the painting of your mother inside the clothing chest you brought from Hampshire, to avoid raising your aunt’s suspicions. After going to sleep, you will once again dream of the past. You’ll find yourself in a familiar bedroom, where you will spot your mother standing near the window, quietly reciting lines from “Othello”.
Her voice will be very low, and you’ll hear her coughing occasionally. Your father will approach and ask her to rest. He’ll gently place a blanket around her shoulders. She’ll take a look through the window and comment on the rain outside. She will point out that he didn’t see much of the sun ever since the two of them got married.
Your father will smile at her and say that London usually has rainy weather. He’ll make it perfectly clear that it doesn’t bother him as long as they are together. She’ll say that she wishes she was healthier. That way, all of you would be able to go out together for a stroll by the river.
Sadness will fill her eyes as she tells him that she feels like a burden. Your father will point out that she’s been a wonderful wife and mother. He will promise to take her outside as soon as she starts feeling better.
Your mother will grasp his hands and tearfully say that she simply cannot hold on any longer. She’ll ask him not to hesitate if what they feared happens. Your father won’t answer her question and will silently close the shutters, which will fill the room with darkness.
The surge of emotions will overwhelm you once you wake up. You will remember your parents’ words, and realize that there’s a frightening truth hiding behind them.
Suddenly, you will hear Madam Petit knocking on the door, asking if you are awake. You’ll quickly get up and open the door. The moment she sees you, she’ll realize that something’s wrong. She’ll ask you to tell her what ails you.
Before you get to answer her question, she will take out a handkerchief and gently wipe the cold sweat from your forehead. She’ll assume that you must’ve caught a cold while you were out. You will look at her and say that you’ve dreamed of your parents.
Your aunt will remind you that both of your parents are long gone. She’ll tell you to make them proud by becoming an elegant lady. Despite her kind voice, you’ll notice her hand trembling the moment you mentioned your parents.
You will gather up the courage and ask her if your parents really died of tuberculosis. Instead of giving you a direct answer, she’ll ask if you’ve heard any unpleasant rumors. She will say that your grandfather and your uncle have already explained to you how your parents died. She’ll go on and ask if you’d believe gossip rather than your own family.
You’ll explain that you’ve heard there was a similar epidemic in the area where you used to live as a child. Before you get to ask her if your parents’ deaths were caused by the epidemic, your aunt will interrupt you and say that assuming something like that would be disrespectful to them.
She’ll say that your father was well-educated, but he was forced to lead a life of poverty. Despite that, he would never do anything immoral. You’ll tell her that diseases don’t afflict people based on their morals. You will say that there’s a chance the epidemic back then and the one in the Eastern District are the same.
Once again, your aunt will interrupt you and say that you shouldn’t concern yourself with such things. She will tell you that you need to choose your friends wisely, and she’ll kindly ask you to distance yourself from Priscilla.
You will fail to see how Priscilla is in any way related to the things you talked about. Your aunt will simply say there’s no one else who would fill your head with such ideas. You’ll try explaining to her that Priscilla has no ill intentions, but your aunt won’t be so sure of it. She will tell you that her servants found a strange figurine in the greenhouse. She’ll be certain that it belongs to Priscilla.
You will quickly figure out that was the item she was looking for in the greenhouse. Madam Petit will try to explain that you shouldn’t get the wrong ideas. She’ll say that Priscilla could easily become the laughing stock, and she doesn’t want anything similar to happen to you.
Both of you will stand there in complete silence, and after a moment, your aunt will point out that you are very stubborn, just like your father. She’ll ask you not to be late for breakfast, and she’ll remind you that you have etiquette lessons afterward. She’ll then turn around and exit the room. You’ll quickly figure out that your aunt doesn’t want to talk about the disease or the deaths of your parents.
You’ll wonder why she asked you to distance yourself from Priscilla. Perhaps there is something she knows about the epidemic? After thinking about it for a bit, you’ll decide to get changed and go downstairs. This time, you should pick clothes and accessories with Formal and Gentle tags.
Upon entering the greenhouse, you will notice the ladies whispering to one another and giggling. You’ll hear one of them saying that Priscilla is reading a strange book named Wuthering Heights. She’ll say that the novel is full of immoral ideas, and no proper lady should ever touch it.
You will notice Priscilla nearby, reading a book with a black cover. You’ll start heading towards her, but your aunt will quickly step between you. She’ll ask her to explain what she is doing. Priscilla will calmly say that she was only trying to study “A Lady’s Code of Conduct” before the lesson starts.
You’ll notice her hiding the book from your aunt. Still, she won’t seem to be nervous at all. Madam Petit will turn to everyone and say that all of them are intelligent young ladies, and she doesn’t wish to interfere with their hobbies. However, she will point out that some of them have certain interests that are contradictory to everything she’s trying to teach them.
She’ll turn to Anna and nod. Moments later, the servant girl will bring a tray. You will notice a strange-looking rag doll on it. One of the ladies will start screaming and say it’s a voodoo doll. Soon enough, you will hear others screaming as well, and many of them will quickly go pale.
As soon as she sees the doll, Priscilla’s eyes will light up, and you’ll notice her smiling delightfully. Madam Petit will say that she doesn’t even need to ask if the item belongs to her. Priscilla will nod and thank your aunt for returning it to her.
Madam Petit will try pointing out that black magic is very dangerous, and she’ll ask her to stay away from it. Priscilla will explain that the doll is simply a toy she sewed during her free time. In any case, she will say she appreciates the advice given to her.
You will be able to spot a humble smile on Priscilla’s face. However, upon taking a better look, you’ll notice that her eyes show no sign of repentance. Shortly after, the etiquette lesson will begin.
Madam Petit will be a lot stricter than usual during the lesson. You’ll figure out it is probably because she was annoyed by Priscilla’s behavior. Everyone will be given a hard time, and needless to say, all of the ladies will glare angrily at Priscilla. Once the lesson ends, you will approach her as soon as you see your aunt looking elsewhere.
Priscilla will ask if you’ve come to rant at her about having to endure a strict lesson from your aunt. You will shake your head and say that you wanted to ask her something. She will wonder why you want to talk to her, especially since Madam Petit might punish you for doing so.
You’ll figure out she is in a bad mood because your aunt lectured her in front of everyone. You will try to think of a suitable topic to grab her attention. There are two options to choose from.
<Wuthering Heights>If you ask her about “Wuthering Heights”, Priscilla will gaze at you in surprise. Selecting this option will grant you some Goodwill with her.
You’ll tell her not to panic and admit that you like the book too. You will ask if she has anything similar to recommend. She will stare at you for a moment, trying to figure out if you are telling the truth. She’ll ask if you’ve read “Wuthering Heights” and add that it’s definitely not something your aunt would approve of.
You’ll explain that you’ve read it in Hampshire and say that the book doesn’t deserve the harsh criticism it received. You’ll explain that it simply describes some of the most painful and cruel parts of human emotions. Priscilla will smile at you and say that your taste in literature is surprisingly good.
She’ll say she remembers that you had an interesting book of poetry. You’ll ask if she is referring to the “Wilderness”. She’ll nod and say that it is a good book. She will advise you to read more of such books since they show the truth about the world.
Priscilla will then list a few famous authors and recommend several books to you. Her voice will be full of enthusiasm, and you’ll notice that she’s glad she has someone to talk to about those books. Many of the titles will sound very bizarre, and she will say that you might understand a bit about ancient magic if you read those books.
Back to Previous ChoiceIf you ask her about the voodoo doll, Priscilla will calmly say it is just an ordinary handmade doll. You will point out that she wouldn’t risk sneaking into the greenhouse in the middle of the night to look for it, if that was the case. Selecting this option could lead to one of the bad endings later on (based on some of your other choices).
Priscilla will just look at you, unable to think of anything to say. After a while, she’ll simply say that it has nothing to do with you. She’ll ask if you decided to betray her and inform Madam Petit about what happened.
You’ll say that you didn’t tell anything to your aunt, or anyone else for that matter. You will then point out that anyone could easily figure out that the doll belongs to her, especially with the way she looked at it.
Priscilla will snort and say that you simply wouldn’t understand it. She’ll add that people who are only interested in etiquette cannot possibly comprehend the mysteries of ancient magic.
Back to Previous ChoiceYou will be curious about the ancient magic she mentioned, so you’ll ask her about it. Priscilla will smile and say that the apocalypse is coming, and soon enough, all the corrupted grandeur is going to topple. You’ll recall her saying something similar when you mentioned the Eastern District disease, and you’ll ask her to tell you more.
Priscilla will explain that the disease didn’t just accidentally appear. She’ll say that it’s been lurking for a long time, and will soon spread all over London. She will add that the only way to avoid the disaster is to seek the protection of ancient magic.
After hearing her words, you will ask if it is possible that the same disease appeared thirteen years ago. You’ll notice a flicker of surprise in Priscilla’s eyes. She’ll admit that you aren’t as ignorant as she thought. However, she will say that she has to follow the creed, and there are certain things she cannot talk about with outsiders.
Before leaving the greenhouse, she will tell you to take care. During that night, you will find it impossible to fall asleep. You will constantly turn in your bed, thinking about what Priscilla said. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to figure out what she was talking about.
You will suddenly remember the street vendor you saw in Eastern District and wonder if the things he said had anything to do with Priscilla’s warning. You’ll also remember the conversation your parents had in your dream.
