swan lake stage 2
Complete Walkthrough
Good day, and welcome to our Dress up! Time Princess Swan Lake walkthrough for Chapter 1, stage 2. This story follows Princess Signy on her adventure to becoming a queen. So far, we’ve met only her and her tutor, Ms. Roslin.
In the previous stage, the Signy was late after returning from the forest. She seems to be going to a lake, but nothing is revealed as of yet to us. Ms. Roslin was scorning her a bit, but it was revealed quickly that she cares deeply for the princess and loves her very much as a mother does. Although, we’ve also found out that Signy’s real mother, the previous Queen, passed away.
Signy is to be the next queen once she comes of age. However, the ceremony seems to be coming ahead of time and she is to be crowned sometime in the next 6 months or so. She doesn’t like it, for it means the end of her carefree days, as she says. But, duty is duty, and it cannot be averted.
Signy owes a great deal to the Kingdom and its people and must fulfill her duty. To make matters worse for her, the King has requested her presence tomorrow. She is to go to a room that he uses for discussing political matters, so Signy fears that the King is already going to prepare her for ascension. We will now find out in this chapter how the story unfolds further…
In this Stage 1-2, of the first chapter of Swan Lake, we are to meet the King and the Chief Minister. They indeed wish to inform Signy of her coming of age ceremony and that it is to be hastened ahead of time. However, the Chief Minister also has another request for Signy, one that we don’t know and can’t guess as of now.
The stage 1-2 hint implies we will need the Ode of Determination dress, which has the Noble and Formal traits. Its blueprint can be obtained from Stage 1-1 of Dress up! Time Princess Swan Lake book. It is a part of the Ode of Determination outfit set, for which we already got the Resilient Conviction gloves, which also award the Noble and Formal traits.
With the dress and the gloves already obtained, you can go ahead and start this stage. A little hint, if you don’t have the materials to craft the Ode of Determination dress and you are missing the Dawn Light hairdo, you can get the mats through encounters.
Roslin finds Signy in bed and today is the day she needs to meet the King, her father, and the Chief Minister in the offices. Roslin prompts her out of bed with a tray of food ready for her. Once Signy realizes she slept in and that it is already late morning, she bolts up out of bed.
Roslin pulls the curtains while Signy makes up for the missed breakfast. She also scornes her a bit for not taking the King’s invitation seriously enough. Signy explains that she was unable to sleep properly because their conversation about her coming-of-age ceremony from last night disturbed her greatly.
Signy is to eat her breakfast quickly first and then change for meeting the King and the Chief Minister. Roslin reveals that the King has insisted that Signy eats well before she meets him. But, Signy skips it anyway because she figures the ministers and her father are already in the study and she shouldn’t keep them waiting, so she starts changing her outfit.
As Roslin suggests, the required outfit traits for the occasion are Noble and Formal. You have to wait for the Ode of Determination dress along with any and all other parts of the set you possess. For the rest of the clothes, just filter the two categories and put on whatever you have with the highest value in total, be it of the two stat together of just one, whichever is the highest.
We’ve used the Ode to Determination dress we made before this stage 1-2 of Swan Lake. For the head slot, we used the Pure Vows in our walkthrough for Swan Lake in Dress up! Time Princess stage 1-2. IT has the Formal 530 trait value.
For the feet, we used the Chapel Steps shoes, available to all who played at least the first chapter of Queen Marie storyline. They have the Formal stat at 564 and are quite fashionable. Like the Pure Vows veil, it is not of the same color as the Ode to Determination dress, but the contrast actually works well and it is the same white color for the veil and the shoes, which is important.
For the neck slot, we used the Blessed Dream collar, which has Grand and Formal traits. For our needs of this stage 1-2, we need the Formal stat, which the Blessed Dream has at 424. It is quite a decent amount, so use it or whichever other item you possess that has the highest stat value you need for this stage.
For the earrings, we are using the Precious Treasure from the Queen Marie storyline. It is an all-around useful item and its stats are quite strong. Our current level is 4 stars, so it will award us with Formal 303.
For the hands, we use the Resilient Conviction gloves as mentioned. They are made particularly for the Swan Lake storyline, although are a very useful clothing item to have generally. We currently have them at 2 stars, so they award Noble 196 and Formal 196, which is perfect for this stage 1-2.
For the ring slot, we in our Swan Lake stage 1-2 walkthrough use the Prayer of Love ring, which is a decent all-around item. We currently have it at a very high 5-star score, and it awards both Grand and Formal stats by 388 each.
We will also be using the hand-held item slot for this opportunity. We use our Bridal Bouquet, which we have at 4 stars. It awards Grand and Formal traits, both at 378, which fits nicely with the stage requirements currently.
As far as the pet cat slot goes, we use Cocoa. It awards Formal and Warm 125 each currently, as we only have it at 1 star, but you can use whichever you got that has a better stat score in total.
We will also be adding our Golden Tears relic. It will boost the base score of our handheld items’ Grand and Formal traits by 24.0%. Since we are using the Bridal Bouquet, which currently has the Formal stat at 378 value, this Golden Tears relic will amount to an additional 90 in Formal stat.
After doing everything, our total score stands at 3996. This is with our currently available clothing items at their current star level. We’ve managed to clear a nice Perfect threshold, meaning all the rewards from the stage 1-2 will be ours once we get past it.
After changing into the best possible outfit she has, Signy rushes to the study where the King and the officials are waiting for her. She is, of course, late and apologizes. This is the first time we see the next character in the Swan Lake book in Dress up! Time Princess. It is King Edward XII, Signy’s father, and he quickly excuses his daughter for being late.
The King immediately notices Signy hasn’t slept much last night, because of the terrible eye bags she cannot hide. The Chief Minister doesn’t say anything, though he is obviously bored waiting through the family drama. Signy politely prompts her father to get on to the point of her visit here, to which the King insists on pursuing enough sleep topic and the lack of, saying that it is very important. Finally, Chief Minister cannot stand for it anymore and prompts the King as well…
Yes! It is indeed about the coming-of-age ceremony, as Signy and Roslin have guessed. Minister states that the ceremony needs to be brought forward, i.e. hastened, as Signy feared, although she feigns surprise. The minister apologizes but says that the preparations are already underway for the ceremony.
They’ve sent out invites and everything is organized. According to the minister’s words, the princes and nobles from the neighboring kingdoms are already summoned and will be attending. Signy will have to prepare for the occasion well. The minister even suggests that Signy needs to welcome them all in person, as it is her destiny that’s at stake, to which the King asks:
The minister simply points out that the princes and noblemen coming is to be greeted by the princess as per protocol, which must be respected. The King makes an argument that, since they are coming of their own free will, they should be the ones trying to impress the Princess and please her, not the other way around. The minister is speechless…
According to his eye-roll, we can guess how he feels, as he is about to explain the rules to the King, who already knows them. The King openly asks about the sighs and the eye rolls. He again emphasizes that his daughter, Signy, is his most important thing in the world. The Minister simply again states that the protocol should be followed.
Since Signy is to be the future Queen, the ceremonial protocol is and will be a frequent part of her life. She should get used to it. The King then asks the Minister angrily:
The minister quickly explains that this is beyond protocol because one of these princes coming is to be her future husband. This is to benefit her as well because the more time she spends with them, the more likely she is to pick the one most suitable for her. The king bursts into tears and we get the real reason for him insisting to be so protective of Signy…
King Edward XII then continues to explain how, after his wife, the former Queen, left him alone by passing away too soon. He struggled much to bring up Signy as best he could and has grown much attached to her in the process. He then admits that he knows Signy is not yet of age, but…
The King cries as he has no other choice. He even pulls out a handkerchief to wipe the tears, but it is revealed to us that the King is actually faking it all. He continues to speak erratically about canceling the entire engagement and “chasing all these princes away”. The minister loses his place and says the following:
HE openly and harshly criticizes the King, after calling him a fool. He criticizes his eating habits, saying it is one of the reasons he is so weak. HE states that the King should take this opportunity to secure his heir and prepare Signy as best he can, for his death seems inevitable…
The King doesn’t even react to the insults from the minister and continues crying. He makes an excuse even, saying he does intend to prepare her, he just doesn’t want her to get married so soon. He finally realizes he shouldn’t even talk about this to the Chief Minister because he doesn’t have a daughter. The minister insists she must get married if he truly loves her. The king finally loses it…
The minister quickly withdraws, saying he is not scolding the King, but simply stating the truth. However, his stern look doesn’t soften. He even continues to scold the king, this time a bit more carefully, asking if the King’s ability to perceive reality has diminished. The King has had enough of it…
The minister calmly skips over the whole notion, even saying “please write a letter to dismiss me”. But, he insists on advising the king while he is at his post. It is then revealed to us that this is nothing new and that the King and the Chief Minister are frequently fighting like this, so this resignation is probably not real.
Princess Signy reveals to us that they are quite good friends and have a strong bond that is solid for many years back. But, since they are arguing about her, Signy thinks she should stop them at least…
She addresses the two figures as Father and Uncle Arthur! We are finally introduced to who the Chief Minister really is, Signy’s uncle! The brother of her late mother. No wonder he can address the King so. Signy asks the two men that, since this is about her, why doesn’t she have any say in it… Both the King and Uncle Arthur agree she should say her own opinion, but they both throw annoyed glances at each other along the way.
This is where we are presented with the first choice in this stage 1-2 of Swan Lake. There are 3 choices Signy can take at this point. One is to welcome the guests but delay the engagement, the second not to welcome them but consider the engagement, and the third to do both.
Our walkthrough for Dress up! Time Princes goes with the third option, for Signy doing both the welcoming and the engagement, as we see her as a responsible character, rising up to her responsibilities despite the fact she wants to stay carefree a bit longer.
After choosing the third option, Signy explains to the two men that Ms. Roslin has explained all of this to her and that she understands her responsibility. She begs them not to argue anymore and says she is willing to learn about the proper etiquette when welcoming the guests. She also says she will consider the engagement very carefully.
The King is touched by all this deeply, as is the Chief Minister, her uncle Arthur. They then both fall silent for a moment and look at each other, this time in a completely different manner as they’ve never fought before. Signy asks if they have anything else for her, and the King remembers Arthur has one more thing.
Uncle Arthur plays dumb by asking “Who? Me?” But, the King prompts him to spill it out. The minister tries to sugar coat it by praising the princess’ ascend to her responsibilities, but… The guests, that means all the noblemen and the princes, are actually set to arrive in just a few days!
He says that the decision about welcoming them is still hers, but that she will have to choose one of the princes as her marriage partner on the night of her coming-of-age ceremony. This is naturally not pleasing to Signy, while both the King and the Chief Minister look away this time.
The princess is angry and uneasy but still chooses to take the diplomatic road. She says she understands them. Father tries to talk to her, but she leaves… As she exits the study, Signy smells the garden flowers, which are in full bloom on this day, while they were just tiny buds only a few days ago. This is no doubt a metaphor for how she feels.
She notices that time passes by very quickly. This brings us to the end of stage 1-2 of Swan Lake in Dress up! Time Princess. Our walkthrough will continue for the next stage so please find it in the navigation bar above. The rewards for this stage are as follows:
