swan lake stage 8
Complete Walkthrough
Welcome to our Dress up! Time Princess Swan Lake stage 1-8 guide and walkthrough, where we will follow through on all story and gameplay aspects, like the clothing items needed and all branching paths in the story, if any. The story is now picking up in terms of excitement for sure, as the entire previous stage 1-7 was a prelude to very important things about to happen.
So far, in the story, we’ve found Princess Signy who is to be made a bride ahead of her time. Her coming-of-age ceremony is sped up because she needs to take on her responsibilities of running the kingdom soon. This is because her father’s, Kind Edward XII’s health is declining and he is alone on the throne, the Queen passed away long ago.
We’ve met many of the important characters in the Swan Lake story, like Roslin, King Edward XII, Chief Minister Arthur (Signy’s uncle), and so on. We’ve also met several prices that have come to ask for Signy’s hand in marriage, like Honore, Ambrose, Ferdinand, Hermann, and Raymond.
And, lastly, we’ve also finally found out the real truth behind the magical Swans and their leader Snowy. Snowy is actually prince Aldous, who has been cursed along with his servants, to live his life as a swan by day and a human by night. The curse is the work of an evil Owl Sorcerer, who we still haven’t met, but as things speed up, we have a feeling we will soon.
Since Aldous’s curse is only broken if he marries, Signy asked him to marry her. This way, they would have broken the curse and also solve Signy’s problem, for she did not like any of the princes that have come and she have to pick one. This brings us to where we left off in the previous stage.
In Swan Lake stage 1-7, we’ve played through the entire coming-of-age ceremony, including the banquet and the dance party in the end. It is a tradition that, after all that, Signy announces who she chooses for her betrothed, from all of the candidates present. She was declining everyone’s invitation to dance, which made everyone suspicious.
She was barely holding on, making excuses for everything to everyone, including her father and her uncle. The princes all brought her gifts and again started competing with each other as usual. And, right at the very end, when she could not stall anymore, there was a voice calling to Signy from an unknown person.
The stage ended on that cliffhanger, and we will now see what happens next in this one. Judging by Swan Lake stage 1-8 description, it is indeed Swan Prince Aldous that has appeared, right at the very end of the ball and everyone’s patience. However, as Signy dances with him, another identical prince appears, and now there are two Aldouses…what is happening?
There are no requirements of any kind for this stage in terms of items or companion level, and there are not recommended clothing item stats, so it would appear it is only a story stage and quite important at that. It is not that the story is about to get its real shape.
That voice calling to Signy was, as we’ve all hoped and guessed, Aldous. Signy is thrilled that he is finally here, forgetting all the suspense and agony in the waiting she went through because of him. The King approaches immediately and is eager to meet the important friend Signy was talking about. Edward XII asks if this is he?
Before Signy can properly introduce Aldous, he takes it upon himself and introduces himself as Audwin to the king, offering his humblest apologies along the way as well. He is sorry he missed almost the entire princess’ coming-of-age ceremony. It was due to “some pesky troubles”, as he says.
Signy s confused why is he using the name Audwin and not Aldous, as she knows him by. The king admits that the guest is indeed very late, but is quick to forgive him as he notices Signy is ecstatic at his arrival. However, King Edward XII does remind them both that the ball is almost ending.
Audwin takes the initiative and immediately asks if Signy agrees to dance with him during the last song. The king laughs at how this young prince is so sure about Signy accepting his last dance invitation. But, Audwin just says “of course” as he remains quite sure and a bit cocky. He then turns to Signy…
As he is asking this, he is moving towards her and gracefully bows before Signy, arm extended. He beams at her as the two make eye contact. This is the part where Signy consciously admits to herself that something is amiss today. The Swan Prince’s manners feel different to her somehow.
Even though he did phrase it all as a question, the invitation for the last dance, Signy feels like there is no room for rejection. She is not used to her friend the white swan being like this at all. However, she has no choice but to accept, which she does.
She gives Audwin her hand and the two-step on the dance floor. They start Signy’s second dance of the night, which is also the last dance of the entire ceremony. Audwin tells her how she is so beautiful today. Signy then admittedly tells that he feels different today.
As the prince makes another cocky comment, Signy reluctantly agrees. She then rationalizes that perhaps she is not used to him as a human and this is the reason for all her bad vibes. However, she is curious about why he introduced himself to her father as Audwin?
Audwin makes a faint excuse about using Aldous to remember someone important, while Audwin is his real name for sure. However, now, he does not need that any longer. He says that, since they are soon to marry, he wants to be completely honest with Signy.
He asks if she will call him by his “real name” as he calls it, and Signy reluctantly agrees. She is still suspicious, but not enough. As the two dance, the spotlight follows them. The pair dances the waltz, immersed in the moment and the music.
Finally, the music stops, and the last dance is over. Now, it is time for the crescendo of the evening, the highlight of the event. It is time for Signy to announce her choice. The king calls for everyone’s attention and makes a brief introduction…
The king has two important announcements. The first one is that Signy, his daughter, is now officially the heir to the throne of his kingdom. The second one is an intro to the choice announcement. The king says that she will choose her future husband now, among all the princes and noblemen who are present here today.
As everyone waits in suspense, Ferdinand yells that they all know it and she should just hurry and say it. He seems cocky and sure of himself. He thinks it is him perhaps. As Ferdinand says it, the crowd starts murmuring and then they look at the princess in anticipation. All are looking at her, except for Audwin, and Signy notices it.
Audwin nods with a soft smile. Seeing this, Signy thinks of the white swan and her heart warms. It would appear that she is completely sure that this man beside her is to be her betrothed. The king then turns to her and formally asks her to make her decision now. He also adds a little advice…
Signy hears this and responds with a yes. She then walks towards Audwin, takes his hand, and turns to face the crowd. She then utters the faithful words out loud…
She then turns to Audwin and asks him if he is willing to marry her? Audwin responds with “Of course, my Princess” The two hold hands. Signy looks at her father, King Edward XII, and he nods back at her with a look of approval. However, Ambrose interjects…
Hermann explains that he is a close friend of the Princess, as it would appear. However, Hermann says that this man couldn’t have known the Princess before him, since they are childhood friends. Raymond answers him that the fact is she chose him, not Hermann or any of them. He asks everyone to accept the decision with grace.
Ambrose admits that it would seem he has no choice but to congratulate Signy and the lucky gentleman. Raymond is the first one to do this. As this small murmur ends, the King again uses his dramatic voice and is about to declare it official. But, just as he is to and the sentence, he is interrupted…
Aldous is here. The same Aldous from the forest, the one into which the white swan Snowy turned into. He is sad and drained and only utters one word “Signy…” Signy replies with “You… You are..” Aldous confirms it.
Signy is confused and demands to know what is going on. The usual storytelling method ends here and we cut into a mini cinematic at this point. Audwin is still holding Signy’s hand and he is negating everything Aldous is saying…
Audwin says that he is the Swan Prince and that she should not let this strange man deceive her. Signy looks at the two identical faces and feels as though she is inside of a bizarre dream. The two men are the same, apart from the color of their outfits. Audwin wears black, while Aldous wears white.
Aldous then interjects, telling Signy not to trust him. He is the Owl Sorcerer. Audwin returns this, saying the Aldous is the Owl Sorcerer and that it is disgusting how he plays innocent. However, Audwin makes a good argument in convincing her of the truth…
Audwin says something only the real swan prince would know. The fact that Signy bandaged his wound with her ribbon. In fact, he has it with him. Signy confirms it. The ribbon has her name on it and it is really hers. Aldous still won’t give up…
He says that Audwin injured him and took it from him. She is more inclined to believe to the man that is holding her hand and calls himself Audwin. He does have her real ribbon after all. However, her heart clenches at the familiar sorrow in the other one’s eyes. At this moment, the King interjects…
The king stands in the protection of her daughter and comforts her. He tells Signy not to panic. If one of the two is really her important friend she will definitely recognize him, no matter how alike they are. These words calm Signy and she starts to think carefully about it. Moments later, she has an idea!
It would appear that Signy has come up with a way to prove who is real and who is not. She then proceeds to ask the two identical princes a question. Signy tells them that, on a summer day 3 years ago, she has lost her way in the forest and has passed out by the Swan Lake.
The next day, she has found herself back in her castle the next day and her backpack was gone. Ms. Roslin sewed that backpack to match her new dress and she was really upset she had lost it. She then says that, later on, she and Snowy looked for it in the forest.
Signy reaches the main question. She tells them that the real Swan Prince will remember which color her backpack is. Audwin is the first to answer. He is cocky yet and tells that the answer is easy. With utter confidence, he says that the backpack was red and that it matched her dress perfectly. As he does this, Aldous interjects…
He seems to know the true story about it. After saying that the backpack was pale yellow, Aldous proceeds to explain that Signy did not wear a new dress when they first met at the lake, 3 years ago. She was wearing commoners’ clothing.
With these words, Signy is sure that Aldous is the real Swan Prince! She happily calls him that and at the moment, Audwin is surrounded by a dark, ominous smoke aura as he transforms into a sorcerer in black. Ambrose asks him who he is? Is he an evil sorcerer? Ferdinand ads that he doesn’t scare him and Audwin finally speaks…
He does something to the crowd and they collapse to the ground, falling unconscious. Signy asks what he did to them, as she starts to panic. Audwin replies that they were a nuisance, so he had to shut everyone up. The king, however, is still on his feet…
As he is about to threaten Audwin, he interrupts the king with “Or else what?” He tells the king to think carefully, calling him an old man in the process. He reminds him that he is the future husband of his daughter. He then taunts the king…
It appears that, for some reason, Audwin is still keeping pretenses, or is simply mocking the king and everyone. He is still insisting on continuing the charade. As he continues to taunt the king, Signy interjects and yells at Audwin. She says that he is not her future husband!
Audwin then continues to taunt Signy, saying she is not very bright. He explains that she did choose him and finally reveals his identity as Audwin, the mighty Owl Sorcerer. He tells her that she missed her chance of saving that useless swan, as he calls Aldous. His curse will now never be lifted. He threatens her next…
Ms. Roslin interjects, telling Audwin that they won’t let Signy marry a demon like him. Audwin taunts Roslin’s words as well, calling it naivety if they think they have a choice now. Chief Minister, Signy’s uncle Arthur, now interjects.
He calls him an insolent demon and is backing up the king and Ms. Roslin in opposing him. Audwin scoffs at him as well, saying that he was expecting more grace from an old man like Arthur. He then turns to address Signy…
He seems bent on holding her to her word, as she did say she chooses him. With that, he then turns towards Aldous and takes him with him. Signy tries to defend Aldous, but it would appear he is powerless to defend himself and tells her not to approach him.
As he apologizes to her in desperation, Signy says that it is her fault and that she won’t let Audwin hurt him again. Audwin mocks her words as well, calling it all a moving scene. It is only too bad it doesn’t move him, as he says. Signy threatens him…
She tries to protect Aldous with her life. Audwin is quick to turn the situation into his gain. He then asks if Signy now wants to make a deal with him to spare Aldous’ life. If he lets him go, she will agree to marry him? This is what he asks out loud as he stares at Signy, obviously amused.
Signy utters the word… Her father, the King, interrupts her. Roslin also yells her name, but Audwin is already celebrating his victory. He says that it is a good deal and agrees. He won’t take Aldous away, but he then chants a spell and points his fingers at Aldous…
Audwin says that he won’t kill Aldous, as per his promise and their deal. But, he is also concerned, as he says, about his bride-to-be being near a man who has designs on her. So, he decided to curse him again, this time, the curse is a rather ominous one…
It would appear that, if Signy touches Aldous, he will become a swan forever. This new curse won’t be lifted at nightfall, Aldous explains as he laughs victoriously. Signy calls him despicable while he says his farewell, calling her “his dear princess”
Audwin makes one final threat, on all of them. If Signy doesn’t honor the deal, disaster will befall everyone. With these words, he turns into an owl and flies away.
